We recently learned that Jessica Jones alum Krysten Ritter will play the lead in AMC's new Orphan Black series, and the first official promo stills for the show have now been released.
The images feature Ritter as Lucy, a woman "with an unimaginable origin story who is trying to find her place in the world," along with Zariella Langford as Charlie, and Keeley Hawes (her character is not named).
Echoes will serve as a sequel to the critically-acclaimed sci-fi series. Specific plot details are still under wraps, but a brief logline tells is to expect a "deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. The series revolves around a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal."
It's also come to light that Echoes will be set in 2052, which has led to speculation that Hawes might be playing an older take on Kira.

Anna Fishko (The Society) is on board as creator, writer, showrunner and exec producer, while John Fawcett, who co-created the original series, will exec producer and direct. Boat Rocker’s David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, who also worked on the original series, will be back as executive producers alongside Katie O’Connell Marsh, Nick Nantell, and Kerry Appleyard.
Ritter will probably be best known for playing hard-drinking private eye Jessica Jones in the now defunct Netflix series, but she has also appeared in the likes of The Girl in the Woods, Nightbooks, Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 and Love and Death
