Arrowverse: Crisis Of Infinite Earths Crossover circa 2019

Arrowverse: Crisis Of Infinite Earths Crossover circa 2019

With some inspiration from another commentator, @barisax, I’ve created a JLA roster, that involves (and is possibly led by) the Elder Barry Allen of Earth-90

@barisax imagined, in a passing comment, that Earth-90, home of the elder Barry Allen, should have its own version of the JLA.

On this Earth, Barry Allen is played by John Wesley Shipp. Shipp, to fans of the Arrowverse, is Earth-1’s Henry Allen; he is also Earth-3’s Jay Garrick. To the fans “in-the-know” he is also (and this is the reason he was cast as Henry) the man who played Barry Allen in the 1990 FLASH series (hence Earth-90).

Seeing this, @barisax suggested filling the roster with the likes of Dean Cain, LOIS AND CLARK’s Superman (1993) and Kevin Conroy, the man who will forever be heard when reading a Batman comic book as he voiced the character in BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES (1992).

Not only is this interesting, but it is plausible. These are TV actors and not above this sort of homage. After all, Cain played a Vandal Savage-like character (who’s name was used as a past identity for the CW Savage) in SMALLVILLE.

Earth-90 is, in my best guess, one of the infinite future timelines of Earth-1. It is set 35 years, based on Grant Gustin being 28 and Shipp being 63.

While Tyler Hoechlin is 31, and Dean Cain is 52, Superman ages slower, which may lend itself to a comical bit.

If Stephen Amell is currently 37, he would be 72 in the Earth-90 introduced to us, that is, if he was alive. Addressing Batman, who was possibly the first vigilante (regardless of what Arrow what’s to believe), if he were allowed to grace the small screen by next year, could be played by the 74-year old John Glover (Kevin Conroy is too young for THIS role). Just as actors from FLASH AND L&C haven cast, so too will this SMALLVILLE alumni. We could finally see the aging Dark Knight in his KINGDOM COME gear.

What follows is the Earth-90 JLA is like to see

Les by Barry Allen’s Flash who is played by John Wesley Shipp

Clark Kent’s Superman is played by Dean Cain

Lian Harper, under the code name Red Arrow, is the adult daughter of Roy Harper and the-as-of-yet-mentioned Cheshire. She is played by TEEN WOLF’s (assuming Hoechlin is a friend) Arden Cho

Lilith Clay-Ramon, (the Ramon surname is forcibly tacked on, here) called Omen, will be introduced as the child of the deceased Cisco Ramon and the granddaughter of the Psycho Pirate, who will play a large part in next year’s CRISIS crossover. In the comics, it is strongly implied that she recalls the world before CRISIS, a trait she uniquely shares with the aforementioned Psycho Pirate, thus the (forced) lineage. The hero will be played by POWERLESS lead actress, Vanessa Hudgens.

Wesley Dodds’ Sandman is played by BIRDS OF PREY and CW’s SUPERNATURAL actor, Rob Benedict, who fits meek, albeit thinner, version of Dodds that was made popular.

Hector Hall’s Dr Fate is played by Kevin Conroy.

Flash, Superman, Red Arrow, Omen, Sandman and Dr Fate make up Earth-90’s JLA, or, at least, the members of the team that survived.

If the Earth was destroyed, then Flash, having been “swooped away” to another Earth, joined said Earth’s JLA... yeah, that actually makes more sense.

@ager - Love this, but I feel that being Earth-90, aka a homage to the 90s, it'd be perfect to have the original 5 members on the league on this earth. With the aforementioned trio of Batman, Superman, and Flash, you can add the other 2 founders of Wonder Woman and Green Lantern. Wonder Woman can be the original 90s amazon Xena. While not named Wonder Woman, Lucy Lawless would bring back some major 90's nostalgia, and they could put her in the Xena costume, but color as Wonder Woman's.
Next, bring in Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern. While not from the 90s, he has provided the voice several times for GL and brings some comedy with him.
This team may put the DCEU to shame...

I'd say have the Smallville earth- whatever number that is, bring in that Superman and Green Arrow, as the only survivors.

@barisax - I’d love to see the studios put everything aside for 1 moment where the originals were allowed to appear on tv. Who is your Aquaman?

@ager - I never gave Aquaman a thought, but if we are going with 90s icons, Kevin Sorbo could potentially fit the bill. But for earth 1, I wouldn't mind seeing Justin Hartley give Aquaman a go again, since his pilot didn't pan out, but he's also my pick for Earth 1 Batman.
