Arrow's production team has been busy adding new allies and villains for the show's fifth season, and we may see another face join those ranks when the show returns in the fall. Curtis Holt/Mister Terrific (Echo Kellum) made his debut last season, and while he was regulated to the tech side of things as an employee of Palmer Tech, showrunner Wendy Mericle has promised a change now that Kellum is a series regular.
n an interview with TV Line, Mericle said the show plans to illustrate Curtis' journey towards becoming Mister Terrific, while taking some notes from fellow CW compatriot, The Flash, in order to separate the character from Felicity. "Essentially, if [Felicity] is software, he's hardware," Mericle said. "As he evolves into becoming Mr. Terrific in Season 5, one of the things we're really exploring is differentiating them by having Curtis be more like Cisco on The Flash. We want him to be a bit more hands-on, a little more about building physical tech." Given the overwhelmingly negative reception to the Felicity character at the moment, the show is probably wise to take notes from a character like Cisco, whose intelligence and humour have earned him quite a place in the hearts of fans.
