In a move that may come as a shock for all Arrow fans, fan favourite Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett) may be on her way out of the show. The fate of Ms. Smoak is unconfirmed, but Emily's co-star Colton Haynes (who plays Roy Harper on the show) posted the following image on instagram:
                                        

The caption reads, "Miss this lil lady already! @emilybett. Wrapped season 2 and packed gifts in the back of HER jeep before I took off. This girls goin places"

The most shocking thing about this rumor is that Felicity Smoak has one of the largest fan-following on the show, and  the show's producers had previously hinted that the character may be headed to Flash's Central City to draw fans to that show, and later move back to Starling City. However, if she was only temporarily/permanently moving to Central City to join The Flash, there would be no need for her to relocate or for Colton Haynes to miss her or to "pack her gifts into her car as she's about to leave", cause both the DC Shows will be sharing the same Vancouver Studios and filming locations. Don't we usually give gifts to co-workers who leave for good? Colton Haynes posted another photo on instagram yesterday which had Felicity Smoak in it aswell, but she was noticebly injured in the BTS image. so many people know who GR is they carpool to the arrow cave. they might as well have bedrooms in that base cause they all seem to live there.

Hate her and Oliver's "relationship". Just feels forced, I do hope she dies though, it'd add more depth to the team, when Tommy died it only really affected Oliver.

I don't think Colton would risk the backlash from producers by spoiling the finale. I honestly think the season is over and she is going to work on something else before season 3 starts or she is going back to see family.

All that says is Colton Haynes finished his filming for season 2 and helped load Rickards jeep with wrap gifts. How does that translate to Felicity's leaving the show?

Some are calling for her death while others are threatening to burn the Earth down, if she dies. With these options, the responses of our fellow users may be more entertaining (for me) than the show (and I REALLY like the show).

The Comics book version of Felicity Smoak is Ronnie Raymond AKA Firestorm's Step-Mother. So my be they are temp. writing her out of the show to put her on that path.

After filming a show they go on a long break.
So the cast won't see eachother for months. Maybe she's filming a movie or something.

Only "she's leaving Arrow" scenario I think could see would be her character settling over to the Flash show.

Felcity is great, I hope she stays on Arrow. I'd be okay with her being on The Flash but I think she belongs on Arrow. She's a cool character and kinda seems like the comic relief sometimes.

Yup of course shes going to THE FLASH show.

There's too much supporting cast for ARROW anyways and she could be the new TINA McGEE or IRIS?

Also might bring a lot of the fan base over from ARROW too!

That literally means nothing. They finished filming for season two and they're going on their own individual vacations. Plus, if Colton actually put his gifts in Emily's jeep, then perhaps the "she's goin' places" line meant to his house, lol.

But Laurel is still coming back, right?! I don't know if I'd be able to keep watching the show if she didn't constantly bitch at everyone, and have stupid selfish emotional breakdowns every other episode.

Hah, I'm just kidding. Literally every character on this show is boring and stupid except Slade, Sarah, and Roy (and maybe Thea, but I'm on the fence).

Everyone else could literally burn alive in a fire for all I care.

I hope she dies, hate the whole "Olicity" phenomena.
If she lives, she's better suited for Flash.
But i think, this "news" is nothing, they just wrapped season 2 and go on their lives until the shooting of season 3 episode 1.
