Despite the poor critical reception to Arrow for the past two seasons, the show and its CW compatriots (The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, and the newest addition, Supergirl) have done  an impressive job of bringing elements of the DC universe to the small screen. Arrow star Stephen Amell shared his enjoyment of all the programs (and the impending crossover) in an interview with Digital Spy, admitting that the other shows have been doing very well in comparison to Arrow"Four superhero shows on one network under one DC umbrella is kind of unprecedented and I think it would be fun," Amell said. "The Flash is a much bigger brand, as is Supergirl, than Arrow. Flash has done so extraordinarily well... certainly from a ratings perspective, it's the biggest show on The CW."

However, Amell was quick to point out that while the others might be more popular, it was still Arrow that kickstarted the entire universe. "We were there first, right? So if something big is gonna happen, it's almost like I have to be there," he said. "Obviously there are bigger properties in the Marvel universe than Iron Man, but Tony Stark was the first one so he kind of becomes the de facto leader in some way."

He shouldn't worry too much, Flash was bullshit after bullshit this season... And Supergirl with a lower budget ? More cheese, less action... better be PowerGirl in the pod and with her original costume if the show wants to go on....

Except Iron Man"s movies open to 100+ million and Amell can only do 35

@thor2273 - are you comparing a movie with iron man as the main to a movie where Amell is supporting role?

Btw, first iron man opened to a little less than 100 mil

@thor2273 - I'm sure we'll see Gwyneth Paltrow again before RDJ hangs up the suit. The actor insisted she be in Avengers because he likes their relationship. The only reason why she wasn't in Civil War is according to the directors, was to put Tony Stark in a vulnerable place. It made no sense to have her. But Pepper Potts will be back, if RDJ has any pull, mainly to close Iron Man's arc if Avengers 3 & 4 are his last.

You could cancel Arrow tomorrow and THIS UNIVERSE WOULDN'T MISS IT. It could still prosper.

No you don't. I respect Arrow for kickstarting all of this, but it's lost its significance to the CW DC universe. He compares Arrow to Iron Man, both being what catapulted their respective universes. But Iron Man hasn't faltered as a character. Sure he's had a bad film, but his character has never lost importance. Oliver Queen and the damn show Arrow, have both fell into mediocrity.

I'd argue Cap has taken the reigns from Iron Man as the HEART of the MCU. The focal point. The crux. The top dog. Flash has done that to GA.

Stephen Amell has grown from humble actor (seasons 1 and 2 of Arrow), to an arrogant blowhard who defends everything Arrow does and thinks he deserves what he logically doenst (Arrow in the DCEU, come on).

I'm not tryna get on the guy too much, but some of his comments of late, put him in a stubborn and pompous light.

@MattBellissimo - he has and I repsect that. But it seems like he often attacks detractors, even when said detractors have a right to express their dissapointment. He defends Felicity when, come on, she really has poisoned the show of late.

That finale was just....a head-scratcher
