Another Nod To 'The Joker' In Extended TV Spot For BATMAN Prequel, GOTHAM

Before there was Batman, there was GOTHAM. Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker? GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told.

Honestly, all I care is that this show doesn't make the one unforgivable mistake that Smallville did and not show the hero in costume even if the series finale has to jump forward huge amounts of time.

This will be the first time that we'll get to follow all those Batman villains at the same time in live-action since the Adam West series, but there won't be any Batman. I'm not saying this won't be good, I'm just saying the better it is, the more and more I'll be like "Man I wish there was Batman". It would be like if Marvel announced a Skinny Steve TV show about Rogers' live before he got the serum.

Nah, Skinny Steve was way more interesting than 10-year-old Bruce Wayne. Thrill as Detective Gordon matches wits with the Riddler while young Master Bruce plays Pokemon!

It's funny that since the pilot leaked, fan enthusiasm went into the toilet. It's like the complete opposite of The Flash pilot leak.

In the near future, WB will package Birds Of Prey, with the few pre quick cancellation episodes of Gotham and Constantine and together they'll form some DC Bluray collectors pack.
