DOCTOR WHO Actress Michelle Gomez Joins GOTHAM As 'The Lady'

If you tune into tonight's episode of Gotham, "A Bitter Pill To Swallow", you'll see the awesome Michelle Gomez as a mysterious character referred to in her Tweet below as The Lady. It's probably not very likely, but taking into account the recent influx of assassin-type bad guys on the show, is there any chance she could be playing an incarnation of Lady Shiva? We don't have too long to wait until we find out, and in the meantime you can get an idea of what the character may look like from the image accompanying Gomez's Tweet.

Lady Shiva doesn't sound too likely to me, but then again the Order of Dumas' main opposition is the League of Assassins. And Vandal Savage, but I won't be expecting him on this show.
But I'd say it's more likely that she's Lady Vic.

Sure, characters get racebent all the time. But it's usually in the other direction. Making an Asian woman white would be seen as insensitive. Notice all the backlash Aloha got after they cast Emma Stone as a Chinese character.

Plus beyond that, Ms. Gomez, while very lovely and talented (she nails it on Doctor Who) is nearly 50. She's out of the common age range for action stars, and as far as I know she doesn't have a martial arts background either. It's REALLY unlikely they cast her to play a badass ninja kung-fu assassin.
