More Details On Jewel Staite's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Character

"She’s related to one of our heroes. We will find that she’s not a person off the street." Previously we learned that Staite's character was a descendant of a DCTV superhero and now we know Rachel Turner's related to one of the heroes on the Legends of Tomorrow team.

Last week, we learned that actress Jewel Staite would guest star on DC's Legends of Tomorrow and that she would play a character named, Rachel Turner.  We also learned that she would be a descendant of one of The CW's DCTV characters and that she'd have a tech background.

Showrunner Phil Klemmer has provided additional clues, ruling out characters from Arrow and The Flash as possible ancestors for Turner.  Staite's character will be directly related to one of the members of the Legends of Tomorrow team.

"She’s related to one of our heroes. We will find that she’s not a person off the street. We are going into the most distant future that we will be visiting, and we will find that she is the biological result of something that one of our characters either directly or indirectly did before their recruitment in the pilot, in 2016. As we know, when we pull our characters out of the timeline, they cease to have an effect on the future, but this will be a sort of Ghost of Christmas Future where somebody will realize that something that they did before they left had a butterfly effect on the future that will effectively — they will have aided and abetted Vandal Savage’s rise to power."

DC's Legends of Tomorrow premieres in just 5 days on The CW at 8/7c,

Well, all these morons left the ashes of Vandal there in the floor to be picked up by Merlyn later.

They are all guilty in some form.

She´ll be descedant of Snart, thats my guess.

Definitely a descendant of Snart or Ray. Probably Snart so we can get a little redemption. Maybe Heatwave, if they want like a sacrifice type thing.

My thoughts exactly. They are setting up the character for a big redemption arc.

I was so pissed about that. They'd learned that there was all kinds of crazy magic shit in the world, they already knew the Lazarus Pit etc. Then they encounter a supposedly immortal bad guy, and what do they do? They just go without looking back once at his ashes.

It would have taken the Flash a few seconds to flush that shit down a dozen different toilets or whatever. Idiots!

Exactly.
I love these shows, but sometimes the writers made look bad at this characters, like idiots.

And still pissed and confused for how they have two ways of time travel for Barry. What makes Flash special for me is still the emotional core and acting. Grant, Martin and Cavanagh are gold when they share screen.

Yup, I'm not too happy with the way they deal with the whole time travel element either. Doing time travel is almost always a tricky thing, so I expect them to really think the mechanics through before making it a central point of the story.

And completely agreed about the second point as well, those were the things that made S1 great for me! There's still a lot of that there in S2, but for me something is a bit off since the finale of S1. Can't quite put my finger on it, but my emotional investment isn't what it was.

@AlaRebelde I like these shows too but they are notoriously bad at writing the crossovers. While they have been fun, they've been poorly handled.

I think is mostly for the lack of the relation love-hate between Thawne and Barry. But still there have been gold moments this season, like the scene when Barry was talking through the window forgiving him without Cavanagh listen him.

I'm curious how the appearence of Wally will affect the Barry/Joe relationship.

The crossover this year felt so forced to me, it was better last year, it felt more organic.
Flash and Arrow are being suffering to setup LoT, lets hope that when that show airs, all these forced arcs go and never come back.

@Kyos it would affect Wally mostly. Joe really loves Barry and their relationship it's very settled up, i think that we are going to see a jealous Wally trying to prove that he is better and more important for Joe, maybe he is going to inject himself the velocity 6 serum to try to be a better hero than Barry to gain approval in his fathers eyes.

Lots of potential for drama, that's for sure. Hopefully it'll be good!

I'm disappointed she is not a family member of Will Magnus or Niles Caulder. It would have been neat to see the Metal Men or Doom Patrol.

I know it's nitpicking but how can she be related to one of the characters of the show but NOT be related to 'any' of the Arrow or Flash characters? I mean all of this show's characters are from Arrow and Flash ?!?!?
