Cameras have been rolling on Peacemaker for a while now, and director James Gunn has taken to Twitter to share some fun behind-the-scenes photos of the cast.
The snaps feature star John Cena alongside fellow regular cast members Danielle Brooks, Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, and Chukwudi Iwuji. Cena is in his Peacemaker costume here, so we assume the others are also sporting their characters' duds.
Gunn added another Tweet to explain Robert Patrick's absence, giving us a glimpse at what's currently being filmed in the process. Of course, he's covering the monitor with his finger.
Specific plot details are still under wraps, but we do know that the series is expected to explore the origins of Peacemaker, a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
Gunn is writing and directing the show, which was ordered to series last September. Cena's titular antihero will make his debut in The Suicide Squad, which is set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max this August. Peacemaker is expected to premiere next January.
