The CW promised that "Crisis on Earth-X" would be like a four-hour movie and if the first two instalments were any indication, this event isn't going to disappoint. Among all of the amazing action as Earth-X's Nazis invaded Earth-1 were a couple of huge twists as we learned the true identities of both Prometheus and the Reverse-Flash. Needless to say, none of us saw either reveal coming!

For starters, after being captured by the heroes, Prometheus is taken to the pipeline in S.T.A.R. Labs and unmasks to reveal that he's Tommy Merlyn, an Earth-X doppelganger who never actually died.

Needless to say, Oliver is shocked by that and thinking he can talk his old friend around to his way of thinking, the Emerald Archer is horrified to learn that Tommy is just feigning considering betraying the Nazis and the villain then promptly commits suicide via a cyanide pill hidden inside of his mouth.

As for the Reverse-Flash, we've known for a while that he wears the face of Harrison Wells but this isn't just a doppelganger from Earth-X. He's Earth-1's Eobard Thawne and has put that face on to mess with Barry Allen. An explanation as to why he's travelled to the
Nazi-controlled world is never revealed but he explains he's back among the land of the living thanks to time travel (he knows he's died before).

What did you think of the first two parts of the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover? Sound off below.

@KingCipher - I don't think it was a waste. His dialogue with Oliver was extremely powerful. One of the highlights of the hour, for sure. I thought it was neat that he was Earth X Prometheus, since he was everyone's default guess for Earth 1 Prometheus last season.

@KingCipher - how is it a waste? It’s better than nothing considering he’s one of the main characters on an entirely different show

I'm guessing Thawne made multiple time remnants to escape Black Flash, one of those is the one from Legends of Tomorrow, the other is this Eobard Thawne who escaped to Earth X.

Only way I could see it making sense.

@TheLight - I mentioned Jenni only because they're doing the Legion over on Supergirl.

@Battabing - No, Impulse's mom is a Thawne, and Don Allen is his father.
