Once a year, we get the chance to see some of DC's most iconic characters unite in The CW's annual Arrowverse crossover. During this TV event, the heroes of The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl unite to take down a deadly threat. This gives us an opportunity to see certain characters interact that we normally wouldn't see in the same place. However, there is one character that The Flash's Candice Patton would like to see Iris West-Allen share the screen with.

During POPSUGAR Playground's Screen Queen panel, Patton was told that fans wanted to see a scene between her and Arrow's Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance/Black Siren). She was then asked about the possibility of this taking place. "Oh really? I have no idea." she responded, unsure about which character Cassidy was actually playing at the moment. "Isn't she evil now?"

Legends of Tomorrow's Caity Lotz was also at the panel and helped clarify what Cassidy was currently up to on Arrow. "Yeah, she's Black Siren now. Laurel Lance is... she's dead. But Black Siren is alive."

Upon hearing Lotz's explanation, Patton seemed eager, reminding us all that the Arrowverse is full of possibilties. "Anything is possible with these crossovers that we do every single year. There are so many actors from this universe that I haven't worked with and Katie's up there. I would love to work with her.".

As Cassidy initially portrayed the Laurel Lance of Earth-1/Black Canary, it's easy to see why fans are so eager for the pair to work together. Despite being the leading ladies of both shows, they never interacted on-screen. Moreover, when Cassidy's current character, Black Siren debuted on The Flash during its second season, she never had any scenes with Iris. The same thing happened two years later when she returned to the show as the Earth-X version of the character, Siren-X.

With so many crossovers already, its hard to believe that we haven't seen Iris interact with any iteration of Laurel. But Patton's comments do suggest that we might see it happen in the future.

Now that you bring it up, i wouldn't mind meeting Katie Cassidy either. Since you brought it up.

Sounds like the perfect scenario to get rid of Iris. She has been a tad bit annoying this past season. Though not as bad as Felicity, who I actually liked as a character when she was first introduced.

Candace's comments suggest nothing other than the obvious. Crossovers can mix and match cast members. She's saying it's possible, not probable.
