The DC Universe TITANS Releases A New Behind-The-Scenes Look At Its Hard-Hitting Action

After a launch mired in skepticism, the live-action Titans TV series from DC Universe has swayed many critics and proven itself worthy to be a flagship, launch title. What do you think of the show so far?

"For Titans, we really thought it was time to do a show that was really different from all the other superhero shows out there," says executive producer Geoff Johns.

It seems the first live-action series from
DC Universe is succeeding as more and more fans that were initially skeptical are jumping on the bandwagon. The most prevalent critique appears to be the show's full immersion in the dark and gritty aesthetic of the Zack Snyder DC Films Universe. However, if you were a fan of that style, the Titans (and Doom Patrol spin-off) will likely be your best source for a 'spiritual' continuation.

Let us know what you think of the show's first five episodes in the comment section below. The 12-episode first season has already been renewed for a sequel.

Episode 06, "Jason Todd", will debut this Friday on the DC Universe streaming platform.

This show has been good better then most comic book shows. It is slow and would be better to binge watch. They are taking way to much time to build characters but the show is good. I am very happy with my purchase of the app so far with seeing this, death of Superman which was amazing and Batman ninja I got my 7.99 out of it.

The way they do the blood really spits in the face of their DGR* approach; it honestly makes it look cartoonish and goofy.
They need to look to Daredevil for inspiration on when it comes to the hand to hand fight scenes.

@Snowbirdd - the splatter reminds me of something from those low budget grindhouse flicks. Very cartoonish.

@Snowbirdd - I love the blood spray. Makes it look grindhouse and reminds you that you're watching cheesy scifi.

I don't watch the show, but from the shots in this feature, the action coreography does look pretty good (above CWs anyways) but that CGI blood is SUPER cartoonish and the violence feels like a middle schooler trying hard to be edgy.

@MrDandy - yeah that CGI blood looks TERRIBLE. I don't watch the show either, but from what I could tell, I'd take Arrow's fights anyday over Titans. Titans seems to do something where they slow down the action in addition to actually having people get thrown or crash into 'real' objects. They seem to really like to do that based on the clips in the video above. But I'm not really seeing a lot of impressive fighting. Some neat moves, but a lot of it is just show.

@MrDandy @HeavyMetal4Life

Aside for that the shows not half bad, I suggest watching it when all the episodes are out.
