TITANS Season 2 Trailer Finds Deathstroke Out For Blood, & Dick Thinking About Becoming... Batman?

DC Universe has now released a full trailer the second season of Titans, which will return to the streaming service on September 6.

The footage gives us a first look at several of the show's new characters in action, and makes it very clear that Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, is out to take down the Titans for good after playing a major role in the original incarnation of the team disbanding.

Plus, right at the end there's a surprising suggestion that Dick is contemplating taking up the mantle of Batman after burning his Robin costume last season. He'll reconsider and create the new persona of Nightwing though... right?

Check out the trailer below along with some recent promo stills and the season 2 poster by clicking the "view list" button below.

Poor Rachel found her real family towards the end of season 1, only to discover that her father was a demon and her mother his willing disciple.

When the show returns, the character will be sporting a more comic-accurate appearance.

It looks like Gar and Dick are going to break free of Trigon at some point, and while the former is displaying a few war wounds, they both look ready to fight to save their young friend.

Things are gonna get a lot worse before they get better!

In these stills, Donna Troy, Jason Todd, Starfire, Hawk and Dove stand behind Rachel with tellingly black eyes. Unless they've all decided to seriously goth-up their style, it's safe to assume they're also under Trigon's spell.

Season 2 Poster

The season two premiere episode follows directly after the apocalyptic events of last season's finale. With Rachel's father, Trigon (guest star SEAMUS DEVER) having successfully turned Dick dark, he sets out to win the others over to his side by embracing their inner darkness. With everyone under Trigon's control, Rachel and Gar find themselves fighting what seems like a hopeless battle against the powers of Trigon.

Distance himself from Batman because he was becoming too much like him.. only to become Batman?

Never liked this show, and probably never will

They will certainly play with it, you know, becoming the very thing you hate, it's a classic trope, but c'mon, they're obviously cock teasing the fan with the Nightwing persona.

I actually liked Season 1 and i look forward to this. :3

Good trailer, it appears they learned from experience after their first ever trailer came out. It looks fun and promising.

But I also think they have retconned some things here. The trailer is full of allusion to the fact that the Titans team already existed before and they disbanded because of Slade or something whereas no such thing was ever hinted back at S1. Unless they are trying to make us believe Dick's time where he went to fight with Hawk and Dove as the first iteration of the team.

Sure there was that pic at their house where Donna was also featured in and the other guy seemed to be Aqualad but again, it never was suggested at all and after the mixed feedback after S1 I think they could have changed some stuff.

Anyway I hope the new Season is an improvement.

Looks like shit. Iain Glen is literally just playing himself. Worst Bruce Wayne casting ever. Am I really supposed to believe that this Alfred looking mother [frick]er

is capable of doing this?

Deathstroke looks awesome though.

This looks surprisingly cheap and ugly, considering how good Swamp Thing looked, and the writing seems to still be the ramblings of an edgy 13 year old boy. It's only going to look that much worse considering it's gonna be airing around the same time as a fellow dark DC show, Watchmen - which looks tenfold better.

I would say this looks like an Amazon show, but then the Boys seriously impressed me with what that streaming service is capable of. So this looks like half of an Amazon show. Basically a dark and gritty, R-rated CW show. I would pay money for Doom Patrol or Swamp Thing if it didn't get the rug pulled out from under it, but not this.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - boys was great. You should check out Jack Ryan. Insanely good, amazon pumped a ton of money into that one.

*Me reading that headline for the first time*
"TITANS Season 2 Trailer Finds Deathstroke Out For Blood & Dick..."

Um what?!

"...Thinking About Becoming... Batman?"

Oh okay.

@TheDoctor1225 - lol I'll be really pissed if he's still Robin after a season full of multiple "I'm not Robin anymore" arcs. But I think his Robin suit scenes are flashbacks.

What bothers me most though is Irish grandpa Bruce.

Although I like the inclusion of characters like Aqualad and Superboy, I can easily see this show becoming much like Young Justice. And with that I mean a show that features way to many characters. I still like Young Justice don't get me wrong here, but Titans needs to get atleast a storyline too before it's as good as Young Justice
