Warner Bros. Television and DC Comics officially announced today that Young Justice: Outsiders, the long-awaited third season of the critically-acclaimed animated series of the same name, will premiere on the DC Universe streaming service on Friday, January 4, 2019.
The premiere date falls exactly one week after fellow DC original, Titans, is expected to wrap up its freshman season and seemingly suggests that WB TV and DC may have plans to debut new DC content almost every week next year. Following these two series, they also have Doom Patrol, Stargirl, Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn, and Titans season two slated to premiere through 2019, so it wouldn't be a stretch for fans to expect a new series premiere every thirteen weeks, give or take.
DC Universe has also released a new teaser, featuring the Earth transitioning into Apokalips, which, of course, means Darkseid is finally coming to bring hell to our heroes.
In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
