First Photos From Sunday's GAME OF THRONES Season 6 Finale; "The Winds Of Winter"

HBO has released the first official images from this Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones, and they feature plenty of intriguing meetings between characters following the Battle of the Bastards this week...

The Battle of the Bastards is being hailed as one of the all-time greatest episodes of a TV series, and honestly, it's easy to see why after that incredible showdown between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton in last Sunday's penultimate episode of Game of Thrones. Will the pace slow down in the finale? At least a little for sure, but based on these first images, plenty of interesting developments are on the way. 

Titled "The Winds Of Winter" (the name of George R.R. Martin's still undated next novel), expect the finale to start laying the groundwork for next season, even if the synopsis only mentions that we're going to see Cersei on trial. That storyline has been a bit hit and miss, but with fan theories pointing to some wildfire being unleashed in King's Landing, that may be way more exciting than it sounds...

Its pretty clear at this stage that at some point the 'wildfire' is going to be used on the White Walkers. Bronn at that point is going to do his mind thing with the 'mad king' causing him to start screaming 'burn them all' essentially making the main storyline a closed loop leading from the Mad King to the White Walkers arrival.

@Scarilian - interesting idea, that'd be cool. But why would Bran be back there mind tripping? And what is the benefit? When it happened with hodor it was beneficial to him... What does it achieve having the mad king tru to kill everyone? I think it'll be dragonfire that will be used instead of wildfire, with tyrion, danny and jon riding them and bran controlling them. And maybe use the dragons to make more dragonglass for an army to use led by the hound, jaime lannister, sansa etc. and arya vs cersei among it all. And before all that I'm betting the final battle before the white walkers will be everyone uniting to beat littlefinger.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - What is boring to you? the lack of action? At this point it is sooo well know that episodes 10 don't top episodes 9 in terms of action or shocking moments. God, i'm disappointed with people that claim to follow this great show and yet can't stand scenes of dialogue and development... only want bloody action or tits.
