HBO has released the first official images from this Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones, and they feature plenty of intriguing meetings between characters following the Battle of the Bastards this week...
The Battle of the Bastards is being hailed as one of the all-time greatest episodes of a TV series, and honestly, it's easy to see why after that incredible showdown between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton in last Sunday's penultimate episode of Game of Thrones. Will the pace slow down in the finale? At least a little for sure, but based on these first images, plenty of interesting developments are on the way.
Titled "The Winds Of Winter" (the name of George R.R. Martin's still undated next novel), expect the finale to start laying the groundwork for next season, even if the synopsis only mentions that we're going to see Cersei on trial. That storyline has been a bit hit and miss, but with fan theories pointing to some wildfire being unleashed in King's Landing, that may be way more exciting than it sounds...
