Sunday’s Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles promises plenty of new trailers to keep those of us not actually interested in football tuned in. Well, you can add HBO's sci-fi thriller Westworld to the list.
According to EW, HBO is preparing to reveal the first trailer for Westworld Season 2 during the big game.
“We hear the trailer for the AI thriller is directed by series co-creator Jonathan Nolan, and some of the footage will be exclusive to the trailer (so not all the footage will be from the upcoming season),” the site reports.
In addition to the exciting news, EW has also released the first teaser photo for the highly anticipated second season. It features an intense-looking Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) with what appears to be an unfinished host behind him. Who could it be?
Westworld Season 2 is expected to premiere on HBO this spring, although the network has yet to announce a specific date. Given the price of a Super Bowl ad, it’s possible the trailer could reveal that.
