We recently learned that cameras begin rolling on Agatha: Coven of Chaos in the next few weeks, with several Westview actors from WandaVision now confirmed to appear in the Disney+ series.
There was one new name in that announcement that passed us by, but Murphy's Multiverse has now highlighted Miles Gutierrez-Riley and shed some light on who he could be playing. Following rumours about the show introducing Wiccan and Hulkling, the site believes this actor will be playing the Kree/Skrull hybrid here.
Last October, a casting call went out for Agatha: Coven of Chaos indicating Marvel Studios was looking to include Billy Kaplan and Teddy Altman in this story, with us later learning Joe Locke is likely playing Wiccan.
At the time, Marvel Studios was said to be looking for a gay actor between the age of 18 and 20 who is in a relationship with Locke's character. While Gutierrez-Riley is a little older than that, he fits the description and is clearly someone who is worthy of more than just a couple of lines in this series.
The actor was a Denzel Washington Scholarship Recipient at Fordham, later landing roles in The Wilds and On the Come Up, so we anticipate him playing an important role in Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
In the comic books, Teddy is a Kree/Skrull hybrid who is the grandson of Skrull Emperor Dorrek VII and the son of the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell. We're not sure how all this would be addressed in this series, but it makes sense for these two to finally show up (and Gutierrez-Riley may well make an appearance in Secret Invasion or The Marvels).
As for Wiccan, the soul of Billy Kaplan resides in his body, essentially making him the Scarlet Witch's son despite having parents of his own. While many fans have questioned what the point of this spin-off is, the inclusion of two Young Avengers, one of whom has close ties to Wanda Maximoff, suggests it will be a very important chapter in the wider MCU.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is still expected to hit Disney+ either later this year or early 2024.
