Dominic Cooper On Returning As 'Howard Stark' In Marvel's Potential AGENT CARTER TV Series
While adding some legitimacy to the potential Marvel series being an actuality, Captain America 'Howard Stark' actor Dominic Cooper says he wouldn't hesitate appearing in the Agent Carter show.
Though Marvel has yet to green-light the TV series based on Hayley Atwell's character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Agent Peggy Carter getting her own post-World War II story on the small-screen is a definite possibility. Which is why Zap2it asked English actor Dominic Cooper, who played Howard Stark alongside Atwell in Captain America and in the Agent Carter Marvel one-shot, whether he'd be up for reprising his role on the show. "I would like to do any way possible that Howard Stark can make a return," Cooper replied. "He's such a fun character to play, and I really believe that he could make quite an exciting character to watch more of. The flawed entrepreneur, the kind of crazy playboy, from that era is an exciting concept. I saw Hayley recently, and I think that the 'Carter' thing is possibly going to happen, so yeah. I'd love to. I wouldn't hesitate." The actor stated last year that he would appear as Howard Stark in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but it seems he mistook the Marvel sequel for the Agent Carter short film which featured on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray. Anyhow, Cooper reassures that'd he be open to playing the character on the small-screen although he's never committed to a TV series before. "It depends how those things play out," he says. "You never know. And Marvel, they have such an incredible way of changing the format or how it's going to be seen or how your character could return, so I would just like that character to return because I know now that 'Captain America' has moved on and has moved into the present. It's very hard to work a way in which he should be in the current films, but you never know. There's always talk of how [to bring him back], and I know I'd be very much up for playing him again." What do you think?
