With the Earth in danger of being split apart and a Kree invasion imminent, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. team need less extraterrestrial problems, but it won't be getting any easier for the remainder of season 5.

According to a report from TVLine, S.H.I.E.L.D. has cast Lord Of The Rings alumni Craig Parker in the role of Taryan, who is decribed as "a formidable wheeler-dealer from another planet". The character doesn't appear to have any origin in the comic books, nor is it mentioned whose side the charcter will be on (if any). Parker will debut on the series towards the end of season 5. 

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns this Friday with "The Devil Complex".

@TheBlackSurge - Don't think they will. The show hasn't done any direct crossovers in a while, and it's been much better for it.

If only they would have done this season better though. What they are doing this season is just taking existing characters from the Marvel movies and then creating new characters similar to the movie characters. One example is the character Deke who is basically supposed to be the Star-Lord of the season.

Great addition to the cast. AoS isn't perfect but it's the best comic book show on television by far. It's shame that ratings are so low.

That should read, "the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. team need FEWER extraterrestrial problems"

Fewer is the correct word to use in a sentence with plurals.
