Characters That Should Appear In Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Here's a list of characters (Heroes, Anti-Heroes, and Villains) that should appear on SHIELD at one point during it's run on ABC.

I want to preface this article by saying that we need to remember that this is supposed to tie in to the MCU; so these characters would hypothetically show up in the movies, or will otherwise be taken up. I also went with characters who are Street-Level and require Little or No CGI as this is a TV show with a smaller budget then a movie like The Avengers or Iron Man 3.

Matt Murdoch AKA Daredevil is my first choice. With MArvel recently gettign the rights back, I think they need to find an interesting way to bring him back to the big screen after the lukewarm reception to Affleck's Daredevil. If Marvel was smart, they'd do Murdoch's origin in the TV show as his origin is very easy to do. Then, they could save Born Again for a huge feature film. Still, to keep it on Agents of SHIELD, I think he'd be a great street level character to introduce in the TV show.

Moon Knight is another excellent choice, mainly because his character is just so obsessed with street level crime fighting. While The Avengers fight off an alien invasion, Moon Knight just wants to beat up crooks and drug dealers.

Perhaps The Punisher is too brutal for ABC, but I think they could have him nerfed by the agents; as in that they don't want him to kill but he would still shoot guys in the foot or their hand. Stuff like that. He can still be brutal without being over the top.

Start with Powerman and Iron Fist and eventually grow into the Heroes for Hire. Expanding the group overall, and adding more as the shows go on. I wouldn't mind seeing the Heroes for Hire throughout the show. An ongoing group that works parallel to SHIELD.

Blade and the Nightstalkers would really benefit from Whedon's talents writing for fantasy elements -- is it cheating to suggest since he created Buffy? Of course, but that's what makes it awesome.

With his history with SHIELD, I think fan-favorite Taskmaster would be an excellent addition to SHIELD. He's also tactile, and could be great in an Anti-Hero capacity and as a sleeper agent for SHIELD and Nick Fury.

With all these street level heroes, it makes sense to also have street level villains such as the Kingpin. Someone who has a powerful grasp on the underworld of the Marvel universe.

A skilled mercenary, it would make sense for SHIELD to encounter Silver Sable at one point. Perhaps she is pursuing the same character as the Agents.

Initially sent by HYDRA to kill Nick Fury, Spider-Woman is then turned to help aid SHIELD and Fury. She has an interesting story and can easily find her way into the story of the agents in my opinion.

With Daredevil, it also makes sense to have Elektra in the picture. She's one of my favourite characters created by Frank Miller, and perhaps would make a suitable story to feature Daredevil as well.

Who do you guys want to see on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Let us know in the comments below, and I'm on Twitter too so follow me!

AIM and Hydra should also be prominent in the show. Along with S.W.O.R.D.

Agents of Atlas must appear somewhere in the MCU.

I'd say Jimmy Woo and Wendell Vaughn (Quasar) are great S.H.I.E.L.D. characters that will likely appear if the show lasts.

I'm the same way Chu; I don't want the show to be about Iron Man and The Hulk every week; but having smaller characters that are essentially then in that universe is great. For instance, once they do Daredevil's origins on the show, if they went that way they could then do something like 'Born Again' but in movie form. It's very large scale storytelling but I'm completely on board.

I want to see a 2 or 3 part episode based on SHIELD trying to take down The Punisher.

This shiw can out any other characters they want in as long as they give me that at some point.

I feel like the show will be pretty global, not just focus on NY characters (ware most of the Marvel badassery is located). Hydra, Sword, Aim, atleast one of those is probably a given. I think the Taskmaster is as well. There are so many possibilities.

I agree with all your choices to appear on SHIELD, its Marvels only choice to show these characters if they are not planning to release full length films for them.

@Bane5000 I can imagine too that even just introducing these characters, the contracts may also include one or two movie appearences. I think if Marvel was smart they'd keep these characters in the background for a huge event film ala Avengers 2 or 3. So I don't think it's a matter of if they'll be used, but when.

Some nice ideas. I think that AIM, HYDRA and maybe ZODIAC should feature as long-term background threats.

It would also be good to see companies such as Stark Industries, Hammer Industries, Roxxon etc to feature to help build links to the other films.

Street level characters are a good idea so Kingpin can be established. You could also include or maybe just reference pre-origin street level characters like Matt Murdock, Jennifer Walters, Luke Cage, Danny Rand - and how about Carol Danvers...?

Jacky, AoS is grounded in reality. Squirrel Girl's power levels would be too OP for the universe.
