LIMITLESS Star Andrew Howard Joins AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. In A Key Recurring Role

Andrew Howard (who you will no doubt recognise from everything from Bates Motel to Taken 3) has joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season three in what sounds like a major role. Is he a character from the comics or something else? You can find out after the jump...

Deadline reports that Andrew Howard has joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season three. The site reveals that he will play Banks, "an authoritative and intimidating agent." That's obviously a very vague description, and that could be because he's going to be someone from the comics who Marvel simply don't want us to know about! Howard has appeared in a lot of different TV shows and movies over the years (usually as a villain), so it's going to see how he factors into the ABC series which began production this week. I loved this guy in Limitless. Such an irreverent villain. Hopefully he ends up a villain on AoS. They've had some very memorable villains.

My favourite Bradley Cooper movie. Him and DeNiro had amazing chemistry, and the story was paced brilliantly. Also, I loved the time lapse effects.

@0megaDaGr0dd I've been holding out for Quartermain showing up in Jessica Jones.

I *think* they might retcon Jessica as a former SHIELD asset who gets recruited right before SHIELD falls. It falls, Purple Man takes her captive, no one notices 1 asset during a war. Quartermain then gets a beefed up role in her story. He was already in there as her contact point to SHIELD. AND it would give JJ the same kind of reference points to winter solider that DD has to Avengers.

Hopefully its quatermain.. If it is I don't highly doubt that it won't tie in to civil war.. Specifically his character... Hmm.. Roll on season 3, end of season 2 was really quite good

Oh, that's just our @grif! He's a good egg.

I freaking LOVE this show. Looking forward to Season Three. More Inhumans, and what the hell is that Fish Oil supplement going to do when it hits the market?

And what about poor little Simmons, now that she's inside that black goop/statue???

And now Ward is starting to build his own Hydra cell, which I think is separate from the cell that tried to buy the Yellowjacket tech.

And I have always loved the integration of the entire MCU into Agents of SHIELD. It's a great way to keep the iron hot between films. And now that we have to wait all the way until May of 2016 for the next installment of the MCU, it will help get me through that "jonesing" period, because I have REALLY gotten hooked on the MCU.

Can't wait for that first episode....SOOOOO jazzed for the return of AoS!

Hey, yeah, where the futz is Quatermain? He and Sitwell are by far the most well-known SHIELD agents.

I get that Coulson was made important retroactively, but it seems like he should've been Quatermain.
