Dove Cameron's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Role Revealed Along With A First Official Look At Her Character
Late last year, we found out that Dove Cameron (Descendants, Live and Maddie) had signed on for a mysterious role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5, and now we know which character she'll be playing...
It was recently revealed that 21-year-old Decedents actress Dove Cameron had joined the fifth season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a mysterious role, and we now have the first official details on her character.
At the time, there was wild speculation that Cameron might be playing an incarnation of Spider-Gwen because she'll voice that character in the upcoming Secret Warriors animated feature, but as it turns out, she may not be portraying an established Marvel Comics character at all.
According to EW, Dove has been cast as Ruby, "a young woman of cunning intelligence who has a mysterious obsession with Daisy Johnson." She also happens to the daughter of General Hale, who was holding Fitz captive earlier in the season.
There's always a chance "Ruby" will turn out to be someone we're more familiar with, but for now she appears to have been created for the show.
Perhaps we'll get more answers when Cameron makes her Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debut on the March 2 episode.
