Disney Shares "For Your Consideration" FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER, WANDAVISION, & THE MANDALORIAN Posters

With awards season fast approaching, Disney has released some "For Your Consideration" posters for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and The Mandalorian. Check them out after the jump...

Disney has released the first "For Your Consideration" posters for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and The Mandalorian, giving us a better idea of what award categories they'll be pushing these shows in.

For now, the focus with the two Marvel Studios TV shows appears to be getting them in the "Best Drama" and "Best Limited Series" categories, respectively. That makes sense as they stand a chance of making a real impact there, especially when the Emmys roll around this September.

As for The Mandalorian, the cast is the main focus of its "FYC" poster; surprisingly, Gina Carano is highlighted under the "Supporting Actress" category, though we probably shouldn't read too much into that. Why? Well, look at the "Guest Actor" list and even Mark Hamill has made the cut despite that fact that his face was added to a double's body for an extremely brief - but awesome - scene.

Awards season should be really interesting this year. While theaters have been closed, we've had plenty of new content on television, and that means The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and The Mandalorian will all be facing stiff competition.

Check out these "For Your Consideration" posters below:

@Noncomforming - Why not though? The show had more than its fair share of dramatic moments that were very well-acted and executed?

@Noncomforming - Its going to get nominated just because they need the tv ratings. I wouldn't be surprised as Walking Dead is almost nominated every year.

@Noncomforming - Because, as we all know, no drama series in the history of television has EVER has *gasp* JOKES in it!

Why does Marvel using an ABC review feel like

Anyway, they give us a lot to consider. The only ones that should get any real recognition are Bettany and Russell in my opinion (the rest were good too, don't get me wrong here)

Man...I liked these shows but I don't necessarily view then as Emmy material.
I like some entertaining shows getting the limelight and divert attention away from the baiting dramas but if Mando gets an award so should The Witcher and Xena (same vein).

Maybe stop pushing for awards Disney and WB, it's transparent and doesn't really give the fans anything

@Blergh - I'm with you. I don't know what the cut off dates are for the years nominations and with the shift in the Awards actual date because of the pandemic, but it could be a light year for competition though. No Ozark or Better Call Saul for a while. Handmaid's is just back for the first time in forever. Other shows ended and some new risers like For All Mankind among others. It could be interesting.

The further we get from WandaVision the more amazed I am that Marvel put that much money behind a weekly dose of depression

Paul Bettany and Wyatt Russell deserve all the awards. Can’t see anything else picking up nominations though.

@whatevtrev - Not sure how Bettany gets a nom without Olsen also getting one. They were both great but she was carrying that show for long stretches

"For Your Consideration ... Supporting Actress"

SerKurtWagner
SerKurtWagner - 5/10/2021, 11:45 AM
so... We're just going to ignore the most informational piece of news here? Because choosing to enter "Falcon and Winter Soldier" in the Best Drama category seems to confirm they're planning more seasons and not just Captain America 4. Or at the very least keeping the door open.

In other terms, I definitely think "WandaVision" has a chance at a Best Limited Series nom. Bettany, Olsen, Hahn and Russell all have good odds for their respective categories. As for Mando, I don't see anyone getting in except maybe Burr & Olyphant for Guest. MAYBE Giancarlo Esposito in Supporting, because everyone loves him.
