THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER's Final Rotten Tomatoes Score Revealed As The Finale Regains Fresh Status

Over the weekend, it was reported that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's finale had earned Rotten status, but that's now changed, and we have a final score for the entire Disney+ series. Check it out...

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's finale was awarded Rotten status over the weekend, but more reviews for the "One World, One People" have now landed, taking it back up to Fresh with 65%.

The final score is also in for the season as a whole, and it's officially "Certified Fresh" with 87%.

"Packed with blockbuster action and deft character beats," reads the Critics Consensus, "Falcon and the Winter Soldier proves itself worthy of Captain America's legacy with its globetrotting intrigue, mature social commentary, and the sparky rapport between stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan."

It's hard to fault that, and the vast majority of fans also seemed to love the show.

We could one day get a second season of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but for now, it seems Marvel Studios is moving forward with a Captain America 4 starring Anthony Mackie.

Here's the score for each individual  episode, along with the Critics Consensus:

"New World Order" - (93%) An ambitious blend of big screen action and intimate storytelling, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's opening episode makes a strong case that smaller MCU moments can still pack a serious punch.

"The Star-Spangled Man" - (100%) New political intrigue and a healthy dose of emotional stakes are great, but what really makes "The Star-Spangled Man" sing is the return of Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's delightfully antagonistic chemistry.

"(85%) Falcon and the Winter Soldier is still spreading its wings when it should be soaring during this transitionary installment, but "Power Broker" is still a lot of fun thanks to the return of Daniel Brühl and Emily VanCamp to the MCU.

"The Whole World Is Watching" - (90%) A darker installment that delivers tons of character development, "The World is Watching" sets the stage for an epic - if potentially crowded - final stretch.

"Truth" - (100%) With epic fight scenes and emotional moments galore, "Truth" fully lives up to the show's potential - while finally letting Sam grow into his.

"One World, One People" - (65%) While "One World, One People" delivers a fitting ending for Sam, its rush to wrap The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's many threads may leave some fans wanting - and wondering if there will be a second season to help make amends.

In our full review of the first season of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we concluded by saying "Inconsistent storytelling and weak lead villains aside, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a hard-hitting and action-packed new chapter in the MCU mythos which delivers an insightful and impactful exploration of what it means for a Black man to be Captain America."

@soberchimera - Glad that they opened the Marvel shows with WandaVision and not this. It was good but not great.

Loved the finale. Sam Wilson was given the Superman treatment and I loved every second of it.

Count me among the viewers who loved the show. I thought it was great from beginning to end and loved every episode. I had a lot of fun.

@Henchman4Hire - Yep! There were definitely some areas throughout the entirety of the show I would've tightened up, but not a lot at all. Mostly just some of the slow moments. But ultimately, I enjoyed every episode and thought the action sequences were incredibly well done. Finale was GREAT!

Finale needed a tighter edit and the whole show needed a rewrite for the Flagsmashers but I honestly thought the finale was good and the show was great. Still genuinely surprised the reception was that low.

"Fresh status" or not, it was an unpretentious and entertaining TV show.

Rotten Tomatoes has always been a little weird but it gets even weirder with TV shows. Half the 'reviews' of the Season are from the first 1-2 episodes, and then there's apparently an entirely different system for averaging out the episode scores against the season score.

FYI this show was always good, from start to finish. I liked it better than WandaVision. RT reviews really don’t mean crap anymore.
I’ll take a season 2 with these characters anytime Marvels ready to produce it. Wasn’t the biggest Falcon fan before this but I love the chemistry between Bucky and Sam. USAgent was a pleasant surprise of a performance as well.

Seriously why do people put so much fate in critics on the Internet?

Just like what you like.
And if you don't like it, then air your grievance somewhere where no one can hear it.

The show was servicable enough 4.5/5 for me
and I'm noticing a pattern with theses shows:

The People apparently always want way too much out of these things: REED RICHARDS, MEPHISTO, BLACK PANTHER's LAST APPEARANCE, DR. STRANGE SAVING THE DAY!
These shows are just small stories polished with a big budget so they look cleaner.

Just enjoy things for what they are instead of being grumpy about what they aren't.

The last episode was fine. Not the best of the episodes by far, but had some really great parts that were bogged down by a disjointed script.
