Today's season finale (we're assuming there's more to come) of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has left us with plenty to talk about, and the stage has been set for a lot of big stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. After all, we now have a new Captain America, but that only really scratches the surface of what this episode laid the groundwork for.
These officially released images from "One World, One People" only really hint at what's to come, of course, though we can expect more stills to be shared - likely featuring Sam as our new Cap - as soon as this coming Monday.
For now, a number of fan-favourite characters receive the spotlight, including Bucky Barnes, Sharon Carter, and John Walker (as "Captain America," not U.S. Agent, unfortunately). We also see a little more of Joaquin Torres, but this still reveals pretty much the extent of his role in the finale as there were no signs that he intends to follow in Sam's footsteps by becoming the new Falcon.
In our review of today's episode, we concluded by saying, "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's finale ushers in a bold new era of storytelling for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an episode that sees Anthony Mackie firmly establish himself as the deserving new face of this shared world."
