Hawkeye is arguably one of Marvel Studios' best Disney+ TV shows, though there's sadly been no word on a season 2. While the series delivered a satisfying, self-contained tale, we can't help but think that more could be done in the MCU with Clint Barton and Kate Bishop heading into action as partners.
The finale showed just how much potential a team-up between the two archers has, though we definitely anticipate the stories of both characters continuing in some form down the line. Whether that's together or separately remains to be seen, but the future certainly sounds bright for Hailee Steinfeld.
In Variety's piece on the Emmy nominations picked up by Loki, What If...?, Hawkeye, and Moon Knight, it's noted that "while it has not been officially confirmed, sources say that there are plans for Steinfeld to reprise the role of Kate Bishop in other MCU projects going forward."
This isn't a surprise, but it is news likely to be welcomed by the majority of MCU fans.
Given the ever-expanding nature of this shared world both in theaters and on Disney+, Kate really could show up anywhere. There have been rumblings about Echo (which makes sense given Maya Lopez's ties to Clint), though we'd be shocked if a Hawkeye season 2 announcement doesn't head our way during this September's Disney+ Day.
In the comic books, Kate becomes a member of the Young Avengers and a hero in her own right. After she played a role in The Kingpin's downfall, there's every chance Wilson Fisk will take aim at the new Hawkeye down the line, and that could ultimately bring the hero into Daredevil's corner of the MCU (she is a street-level superhero, after all).
