Despite some troubling reports about
Hawkeye being "indefinitely delayed," it now looks like the Marvel Studios TV show is indeed going to meet that rumoured July start date. Writers Katrina Mathewson and Tanner Bean have taken to Twitter to announce that they've joined the writers room of the Disney+ series.
They probably aren't names that'lll be instantly recognisable to you, but the duo previously served as writers and producers on the short-lived, but very well-received,
Pitch (which revolved around a female pitcher who became the first woman to join the Major Leagues).
What put them on Marvel Studios' radar?
Well, they actually worked on that show alongside
Hawkeye head writer and showrunner Jonathan Igla (
Mad Men), so he clearly sees something special in them. Kevin Feige must have agreed, and it definitely sounds like these two are excited to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
