INHUMANS: Marvel Keeps Making Fans Angry By Revealing Black Bolt NEVER Speaks In The Series

There's already a whole lot of negativity surrounding Marvel's Inhumans and that's bound to get worse with the news that we can forget about ever hearing Black Bolt's voice in the upcoming IMAX series.

With a mixed response to the show's trailer and what feels like endless negativity online thanks to poor reviews and awkward Q&As, things aren't looking good for Inhumans right now. Well, that could be about to get a whole lot worse. Comic book fans know that Black Bolt can't speak because even a whisper would destroy a city block but it sounds like we're hearing nothing from him in the series.

"When we first sat down and started talking about the role, we said, very point blank, ‘You have no dialogue, and you will never have dialogue," Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb revealed during the show's recent TCA panel. "It’s not as though there’s a point where there’s going to be a secret operation. You’re going to have to find a way to communicate with your hands and your eyes and another way."

One of the trailer's most awkward and cringe worthy moments came when Black Bolt is punched in the stomach and we get to see a glimpse of his powers when he lets out a grunt. It looked horrible and was a poor way to show the hero's powers so the fact that might be as good as it gets is very concerning.

One saving grace for Inhumans would have been seeing him unleash his powers by letting out a scream and destroying an enemy or building in his way. It could still happen but doesn't sound likely so we'll see! What do you guys think of these comments? As always, let us know your thoughts down below.

I just don't know about this series....I'm going to give it a chance but, it seems like a great opportunity that might fall short.

Well of course he doesn't speak.

@TheUnworthyThor - He communicates by telepathy doesn't he? Why can't we hear that?

@toylled - He communicates via a subtle madeup form of sign language created by Medusa and himself that only they understand.

I really want to like this (it's MCU so I'll watch and buy it on bluray just to complete the set) but mean come on this does not look good. From the actor who plays Black Bolts crazy facial expressions to the crappy production value I just can't understand why they thought this would work as a TV series. I'll reserve final judgment until the whole season airs but I'm very worried from what I've seen

@Ha1frican - "MCU"... I think it's safe to assume that the TV-division of Marvel is it's seperate thing by now

The shot where he grunts in the first trailer was so horribly edited. I really hope it looks better in the show but it's hard to remain positive about this one...

@Bokis - Black Bolt is so disciplined to not ever accidentally mutter a sound makes this scene is ridiculous. Dude has been punched by some of the heaviest hitters in Marvel and has never let out an 'ooommph'. Burt this tv version gets taken out by a bunch of cops! AND can't keep himself from accidentally making a sound?! Sheesh.

I'm as pessimistic about the series as the next guy, but you are spinning this quote really strangely. "You have no dialogue, and you will never have dialogue". I wouldn't call destroying stuff with your words having dialogue.

Of course Black Bolt never speaks would destroy entire planet.

Quasi-Sonic Scream: Black Bolt's most devastating offensive weapon, and one of the phenomena based upon the particle interaction, is his actual voice. A whisper can level a city, cause distant dormant volcanoes to become active once more, shake entire continents apart and generate tremors on the far side of the planet. A hypersonic shout has been said to generate enough force to destroy planets. Due to the constant and extreme danger posed by his voice, he has undergone rigorous mental training to prevent himself from uttering even the smallest sound, even while asleep. Recently it has been shown that Black Bolt's scream is tied into his emotions, especially anger. This in turn would mean that the power of his scream would depend on his emotional state in at least some way. It would explain the somewhat significant difference of the power released by his quasi-sonic scream.
