Marvel And ABC's THE INHUMANS Sets IRON FIST And DEXTER's Scott Buck As Showrunner
Marvel must be pleased with Scott Buck's work on Netflix's Iron Fist, as they've now set him as showrunner on The Inhumans, which will premiere in IMAX theaters next year. More past the jump...
Marvel's The Inhumans has a showrunner! According to THR, Scott Buck will oversee and executive produce ABC's straight-to-series Marvel and IMAX show, which is to be based on the adventures of Black Bolt and the rest of the Royal Family. Buck is currently serving as showrunner on Netflix's Iron Fist, and he also worked on the final 3 seasons of Showtime's Dexter.
In an unprecedented move, Marvel will debut "a version" of the first two episodes of The Inhumans first in IMAX commercial theatres, where it will run for two weeks at the beginning of September next year. ABC plans to then premiere the weekly series in the fall, with additional exclusive content that can only be seen on the network.
We should get some casting details fairly soon, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, let us know who you'd like to see play Black Bolt, Medusa and the others in the usual place.
