With the recent announcement that Scott Buck has signed on to helm Netflix's next Marvel venture, it wasn't going to be long before other information about the hotly anticipated Iron Fist series hit the interwebs. Well, this is just rumor for now, but Point of Geeks have released some informational tidbits regarding the show's production. According to their sources, the show has its sights set on an April shooting date in New York and will go under the production title of "Kick". Rather subtle considering the main character's actual power being in his fist. That's not all they reveal. Some alleged casting call details have been revealed as well. The name's are a bit skewered, but it shouldn't be too difficult to suss out who these refer to.

DYLAN KENDALL 25 – 28 yrs old Handsome and sophisticated, independent and a loner. SERIES REGULAR

HARRY MARSHALL 45 – 50 yrs old Caucasian, highly intelligent, merciless, confident and arrogant, physically active. SERIES REGULAR

That first one has got to be Danny Rand. Notice how the race of the character isn't specified like the second. We just got news that Marvel might even be looking for Asian American actors for Iron Fist, so this could also be an indication of that. The second name could well be that of Harold Meachum, the man who was kinda responsible for the death of Danny's dad Wendell on a trek to K'un L'un. Finally, Point of Geeks say that their sources have told them that Carrie-Anne Moss's character Jeri Hogarth (who appeared in Jessica Jones) will definitely be putting in an appearance in Iron Fist as well.

What d'you think of this news? With the production kicking into gear in April, when d'you reckon the show will actually hit Netflix? Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

I'd be willing to bet that Iron Fist will start filming in February and released on November, just like Jessica Jones

If everything goes well we could have 3 shows next year
DD- April
LC- June
IF- November

But of course it depends on how much they take to cast and prepare everything since they took their time to start moving with IF. And it's better to have a better show in 2017 than a rushed one in 2016

Hopefully there is some sort of Doctor Strange connection. I think this comment was overlooked but Feige actually talked about reintroducing characters like Blade and Ghost Rider in Doctor Strange(not as a solidified plan, though), so it would be interesting to get this sort of cameo cross over maybe, it would be the ultimate connector between the movie and netflix worlds of Marvel. Plus Sanctom Sanctorum(Doctor Strange's house for those that don't know) is in New York, it isn't so far fetched that he would get Danny to do some errand that involved magic for him.

So this will drop November 2016 or Early 2017 like February. We still don't know when Luke Cage is dropping.

I wish I was the mediator between fans that wanted an Asian Rand, and fans that wanted whiteboy Rand.

"Okay...what if he's white, but a total weeaboo and is also always seen eating Chinese food? Eh? Eeeeeh?"

I really hate this Cast his as Asian cuz he does kung fu thing........STOP IT. As a Asian living in the US it has always been great to see a White guy grow up in an Asian culture in the comics.

Look getting Asian actors jobs is great. But they should play roles created for them. This pandering for the sake of being PC is insulting.

Cast Ryan Phillpe and call it a day...

If true it will go through about 6-7 months of filming. Six months? It'll wrap around September. Seven months? October. Usually these adaptions will take around 3-4 more months for post production and it should be here around December of 2016 or January of 2017.

No, it really doesn't. If you want an Asian-American, get Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu. What does making him Asian add to the story?
