The second season premiered on Netflix this Thursday with mainly positive reviews, unlike the first season. This show makes it the second one from the Marvel shows to release a second season, with the first being Daredevil. For those who haven't caught up and binged all the episodes within a day or two after the release of the second season, there will be some minor spoilers ahead.

In episode nine of the second season which is titled "AKA Shark in the Bathtub, Monster in the Bed," we see Jessica attempting to help Oscar who is played by J.R. Ramirez sort out a family issue. The mission would then lead the two individuals to the bus station in the hope of catching up with Oscar's ex-wife.

At the 33:21 mark the two arrive, a green bus is pulling away when suddenly we see Lee's face stamped on the back of the bus. The image is part of an advertisement for Forbush & Associates that reads, "Call Forbush now! Get what you deserve!" The image below highlights Stan Lee's cameo in the episode:

Like his appearance in the other Marvel Netflix series, Lee appeared as Irving Forbush again, Captain in the NYPD. The Forbush name is believed to be attached to one of Lee's relatives.

Stan should have a physical cameo in one of the Netflix series. It would be great to have something more than just being in pictures.

“The second season premiered on Netflix this Thursday with mainly positive reviews, unlike the first season.”

Uh...what? The first season was one of the best reviewed Marvel projects yet. This season has had a lesser reaction.

I have to say, this second season is absolutely TERRIBLE. The acting is absolute garbage and the story is boring as crap. Episode 8 now and no sign of life. The ONLY thing even keeping me into watching it is I heard that Hellcat is supposed to happen this season. Think I'm gonna bail and call it a 2.

@benjithegreat - Oh yeah, and the characters suck too. Whoever on their staff tries to write gay women has OBVIOUSLY never met one. This is like watching a bunch of Junior High drama kids trying to be "profound".

@benjithegreat - Yes it's has been more boring than Ironfist

@benjithegreat - heads up, Hellcat doesn’t happen.

@benjithegreat - this is by far the worst season from Marvel Netflix. Beyond horrible. It actually is far worse than I thought it would be.

Not sure what episode you are on now, episode 11 is the only good episode.

@HeavyMetal4Life - It really made all the characters unlikeable for me. i feel some shows deserve a mulligan season. just come out, apologies to everyone, and say "we're gonna give it another try"
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 3/11/2018, 4:05 PM
@Pierce - The only character that really progressed forwards, rather than backwards, was Malcolm. At least that's my opinion; I really didn't care about the 'arcs' for any of the other characters.

This season is literally a filler season. It did not need to occur, they could have handled this storyline so much better or, given us an entirely different, better story that provided stronger character arcs and more development.

I'm not really sure how this show can progress forward, after this season. But step 1 is to get a new showrunner.

Just finished season 2. Loved it. Now all I can think is when is season 3?

@TheUnworthyThor - Good to see some unadulterated positivity towards S2! I wish I could join in. Curious to see if there will be a S3, and what they might do with it.

Not a fan of season 2. It was cool to see Kilgrave again tho.

@BlackPhillip - the only great part of this season, having him come back.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Yep.

I do think Jessica is a great character. I love her sarcasm and wit, but the plot was weak.
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 3/11/2018, 4:36 PM
@BlackPhillip - I wasn't a big fan of her portrayal this season. And towards the end of the season she just became an idiot with some of her decisions.

This season might show that she is no longer capable of carrying a solo show for a season, unless there are big changes.

I enjoyed season 2 just as much as season 1. Sorry to see more people aren't enjoying it. I was hoping to talk about different episodes and moments with other fans but it looks like that won't be the case. To each their own I suppose.

@mtwiggs - I liked the first season more, but there were certain things in season 2 that I liked better. I enjoyed it for the most part. Certainly not the mess Iron Fist/ Defenders was. Fairly consistent with the other shows/ seasons. There were things I didn’t care for, but I think too many people are knee-jerk reacting to a lot of it. Jessica’s arc was great, and I think Ritter stepped it up even more this time around. I do think it’s time to shorten these seasons though and follow more of the Stranger Things model. There was quite a large chunk of footage that could have been left on the cutting floor.

My favorite characters were Jessica, Malcolm and Oscar.

Especially Malcolm.

The guy's going places, and he's gotten some of the best character development in all of Marvel TV.

Jessica went through emotional hell, but it didn't hit me as hard, because (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS) her mother was impossible to sympathize with.

The villain wasn't evil but actually a pleasant person, which felt weird when we just saw a series like Punisher. However, the villains defeat was kinda rushed.

Oscar's charm was amazing onscreen. His initial attitude towards Jessica made for some great drama about her being treated different as a "powered" person.

@MaximusTheMad - See I didn’t think that “Spoiler” wasn’t sympathetic I felt exactly the opposite. My issue is that after the reveal she lost any real malice or threat to me because you knew their motivations and what they were dealing with

@MaximusTheMad - the only character I really liked this season was Malcolm. He was very good.

Oscar was fine, but I didn't care that much for him.

I actually was not a fan of Jessica this season. I felt her arc was pretty weak and could have been handled so much better.

One of the many problems with this season was we didn't have an actual villain. Her mom was an antagonist, but not really a main villain. Kilgrave in one episode this season was better than her mom in the entirety of the season.

Jessica had way too little screen time.

It all went to motherfookin' Patsy.

Her drive and obsession with taking down IGH was admirable and cool to watch.

Who would have thought that (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS) (SPOILERS) Patsy's crusade against IGH and quest for "justice" was little more than a cover for her burning envy of Jessica's powers.

That's good writing, but did they just turn her into a villain?

I liked this season but for the exact opposite reasons I liked Season 1. The first season I didn’t care for Jessica really at all she was pretty irredeemable and didn’t have any real growth and the interpersonal stuff I didn’t really care for other than the stuff with Luke. What I really cared for was the connections to the other shows in Luke and Claire and of course Killgrave. In season 2 the villain is a complete waste and there are almost no connections to the other shows but Jessica’s arc and her personal relationships were the driving force behind me continuing to watch. Hopefully Season 3 can keep that going but with a worthwhile villain in the same vein as Killgrave or Kingpin

I always wish Stan played the old man Matt saved when he was a kid, right before Matt's accident . Would have been quite fitting (even if it was just Season 1 of Daredevil, it was the one character he had a hand in creating), and he could still have gone on to be the NYPD captain on all the posters in the other series

and when is Bendis going to get a cameo in Jessica Jones and Roy Thomas in Luke Cage and Iron Fist?
