Legion is the best comic book television series ever made and one of the best television shows ever in history. There are a lot of great scenes scenes in this series, but five in particular really stood out to me. Here they are!
5. The Kiss/Switch
Reason: Finally David and Syd get to kiss! But that came at a cost. Syd's powers caused the two of them to switch places during this kiss and that resulted in Syd accidently using David's powers to trap pretty much everyone inside the walls of Clockworks and resulted in Lenny's death. We also saw our first glimpse at the Monster With Yellow Eyes/Shadow King. The aftermath of this scene was pure horror.
4. David Gets Rescued
Reason: After David is taken in custody and is forced to anwers questions, he gets rescued by Syd and a few other members of Summerland. The action mixed with the music score was a delight to see. It was also so cute to see Syd and David express their love at the end. What a way to end the first episode!
3. Dance Sequence
Reason: This scene was so hilarious! While in his sleep, David envisions himself, Syd, Lenny and others at Clockworks dancing to a pretty groovy French song. Goofy scenes like this really make me appreciate the series even more. The dance choreography was on fleek. David and Syd have some pretty kickass dance moves!
2. Lenny's Dance
Reason: How can you not love this scene? Aubrey Plaza does such a captivating performance as Lenny and Lenny herself is such an evil character and her dance at the end of sixth episode is so random and awesomely perfect. Aubrey Plaza dancing to the song Feeling Good is defintely a sight to see! Go get it girl!
1. The Bolero Sequence
Reason: This scene right here is pure mastercraft of extremely high quality writing, direction, acting and execution. This is something out of a slient horror film from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Such a jaw-dropping scene paired with the tune of Bolero played by Oliver. Everything about this scene is absolutely perfect. Aubrey Plaza proves why she is one of the greatest working actors and why her character Lenny is one of the greatest comic book villains ever put on screen.
