Moon Knight gave its title character two costumes, and while we'd hoped to see another, it appears Marvel Studios will keep us waiting on that front. When Marc Spector and Steven Grant united, they switched between the "classic" suit and Mr. Knight at will, and with Jake Lockley yet to don a costume, who knows what he'll look like.
If we had to hazard a guess, it will likely be a tactical-based outfit akin to what Moon Knight has worn in the comic books in recent years, possibly reflecting his murderous approach to protecting the travellers of the night.
For now, though, we have some concept art from Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor Jackson Sze revealing a sci-fi-inspired get-up that's quite a departure from what we saw in the Disney+ series. Explaining that this was from a very early stage in development, the artist says, "In retrospect, it is too sci-fi looking for the story we ended up telling. But in early development we have more leeway to explore directions."
"I had fun trying to integrate crescent shapes into the costume," he says of a suit that, for many fans, might have fit a little better into the modern aesthetic of the MCU. However, that wasn't the story Marvel Studios was looking to tell with Moon Knight, and there's always a chance we see something a little more traditional down the line.
As of right now, there's no word on whether Marc/Steven/Jake will return in a second season or movie. That cliffhanger ending certainly left the door open to more stories, anyway.
