The season finale of Moon Knight arrived on Disney+ today, and as well as delivering a (mostly) satisfying conclusion to this story, we also got a post-credits scene that you cannot afford to miss...

We had our doubts heading into Moon Knight's finale, but Marvel Studios ultimately delivered a satisfying closing chapter to this limited series (which we're hoping ends up getting a second season).

Marc Spector decided to forgo an eternity in paradise to rescue Steven Grant, and together they were able to return to the land of the living. Making a deal with Khonshu that they be freed after defeating Arthur Harrow, Marc and Steven - now able to switch between personalities at will - head into action.

After a distinct lack of Moon Knight in the series, we get to see him and Mr. Knight kick some serious ass, but Harrow - now Ammit's avatar - ultimately gains the upper hand. With that, Marc blacks out and wakes to find that he's killed all of the villain's followers and buried an axe in Harrow's head. Both he and Steven realise they must be sharing a body with someone else, but there's no time to waste.

Marc and Layla trap Ammit inside Harrow (he somehow managed to survive that fight), and Khonshu stays true to his word, freeing his avatar. We then find Marc and Steven back in London living in the latter's apartment. They have two goldfish now, and while there's no sign of Layla, they seem happy enough...until falling to the floor because they're still having to tie themselves to the bed.

This is probably due to concerns over that mysterious third personality, right?

Well, in a must-see mid-credits scene, we find Harrow in a mental hospital, clearly broken by having to share his body with Ammit. A mysterious figure enters and, speaking Spanish, offers to take Arthur with him. Wheeling the villain out of the hospital, we see that he's killed several men to gain access before putting Harrow in the back of a white limo. Khonshu - now wearing a white suit - is waiting for him, and acknowledges that while he can't harm his former avatar, his friend can.

Mocking Marc for ever believing that he wanted Layla as his next avatar, Khonshu reveals that the hero is sicker than he realises, and introduces Jake Lockley. This third personality has been the Moon God's true avatar this whole time, it seems, and shoots Arthur dead with a smile on his face...
