The third episode of Secret Invasion hits Disney+ this Wednesday, and Marvel Studios has now released a first look via a clip featuring Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) sitting down for a face-to-face with General Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir).

Gravik tells his fellow Skrull that he intends to wipe humans from the face of the Earth, but Talos warns the insurgent that the people he's targetting are at their most formidable when threatened.

Talos told his daughter G'iah (Emilia Clarke) that Gravik was responsible for the death of her mother, so it's probably only a matter of time before he loses his cool here (we know from one of the first trailers that he does just that and grabs his enemy by the scruff).

Check out the sneak peek in the player below, and let us know if you've been enjoying Secret Invasion so far in the comments.

"In Marvel Studios’ new series Secret Invasion, set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity."

The series stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, with Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle.

Ali Selim directs and executive-produces, along with fellow executive producers Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Samuel L. Jackson, Ali Selim, Kyle Bradstreet and Brian Tucker. Kyle Bradstreet is also the head writer, and Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams and Brant Englestein serve as co-executive producers.

This should have been 10 episodes. Aside from Wandavision, every show felt like it needed twice the amount of episodes, and this will fall victim to that issue as well. They're glorified movies split into pieces

@bobevanz - exactly, and it’s just long winded crap. WV parodied tv.

They all should’ve parodied tv.

@bobevanz - I disagree, every show felt like they wasted time then rushed the finale. They wrote these shows as long movies and it feels like it

@bobevanz - That's problem of Disney+ as a whole. When the finale comes, it always felt rushed and half-assed.

Best show since WandaVision. Really enjoying it and very much hoping it doesn’t go off the rails mid run like so many of the other ones.

I'm actually liking this show so far

I'm digging the show. It's committed to what it set out to be thus far and the suspense of "who's a skrull?" Upped from the first week.

Honestly, formidable or not, unless RiRi or Shuri develop some kind of tech to detect the skrulls not sure what the avengers could do to stop this invasion. There's no reed Richard's in the mcu to develop a skrull detection device

@MyCoolYoung - Skrulls at this point have no chance against an Avenger. Regular manmade firearms can kill them. Captain Marvel wrecked them and the Kree with ease. Imagine if Shuri, Shang Chi, War Machine, and Doctor Strange developed tech with sorcery to detect them? They would get slaughtered.

@SonOfAGif - they would. I don’t doubt that. The high powered avengers would wreck anyone honestly. But how do they know who’s skrull? What if they captured Hawkeye and infiltrated the avengers?

This is Marvel's best show since WandaVision. And the best thing since Shang Chi. No jokes. No stupid quips. No dumb one-liners. This is top MCU material right here. I love the tone of the series.

This show may be good, but it's a waste if the source material.
It should have been a massive two-part movie instead of Kang Dynasty with Tony Stark and Steve Rogers returning alongside Savage Hulk and other characters that were killed off like Quicksilver and Black Panther.
Also three words:
Skrull Kill Krew!

This show is a 100% flop of epic proportions. Of course, you won't read that here, just like you never heard on this website about how badly The Little Mermaid, Thor 4, Ant-Man 3, She-Hulk, etc. flopped. Josh the Disney shill would never allow it. He has to write his 43rd article on The Flash in the last three weeks, anyway.
FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 7/3/2023, 5:08 PM
@HistoryofMatt - Only one movie mentioned in your comment flopped, and that was The Flash.
HistoryofMatt
HistoryofMatt - 7/3/2023, 7:04 PM
@PlusUltra - That 100% a lie. Every single Disney movie I mentioned lost $100M or more. Every single one. Indy 5, which I didn't mention, is going to lose so much more. Secret Invasion has the worst streaming numbers of any show. Even the previously worst She-Hulk.

You're a liar.
TheShellyMan
TheShellyMan - 7/4/2023, 12:36 AM
@HistoryofMatt - Don't forget Haunted Mansion. That movie is coming later this month and there's barely any marketing for it.
theprophet
theprophet - 7/4/2023, 1:39 AM
@HistoryofMatt - actually Thor 4 had a profit of over 100M
HistoryofMatt
HistoryofMatt - 7/4/2023, 1:45 PM
@theprophet - No it didn't. You're counting the budget, which is underreported by about $50M (Disney always underreports budgets) and not counting marketing (which is between $100-150M) and then you're not counting DISTRIBUTION FEES. You have to make double your total budget + marketing just to break even because distribution fees takes 50-60% of your ticket sales.

So, Thor 4's reported budget is $250M which means it's really closer to $300M. Marketing, let's go conservative, and say it's $100M. So that's $400M all-in for Disney. Meaning it had to hit $800M to just break even if distribution was 50%. If distribution was more than 50% they have to make more. The movie cleared $760M.

So, conservatively it lost $40M. If market was more and distribution was more than 50% (which are both likely) than it lost way more than $40M.
