WANDAVISION: Artist Raf Grassetti Shares His Terrifying Take On Evan Peters(?) As Mephisto

There's a lot of speculation that Mephisto will ultimately be unveiled as the big bad of WandaVision, and God of War art director Raf Grassetti has now shared his rather terrifying take on the character...

As it stands, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) herself is seemingly being positioned as the villain of WandaVision, but there's a lot of speculation that a larger threat will ultimately be unveiled as the show's big bad, pulling Wanda's strings and manipulating her abilities for their own purposes.

Spoilers for the latest episodes of WandaVision follow.

Will that turn out to be Mephisto? We've certainly had a few hints that might be the case, and some believe Evans Peters' "recast" Quicksilver will turn out to be the devil in disguise.

Artist Raf Grasseti seems to concur. The God of War art director has now shared his somewhat disturbing interpretation of the demonic Marvel Comics villain, and it looks like he's based his character design on Peters' likeness. When a fan left a comment asking if this was the case, Grassetti jokingly shrugged it off, but we'd know that devilish grin anywhere!

Last week's "Halloween Spooktacular" seemed to suggest that Peters' take on Pietro is actually the MCU version of the character in a new body (he remembered being killed in Avengers: Age of Ultron), but there's clearly more to the story, and "Quicksilver" being unmasked as Mephisto - or another villain entirely - would make sense.

What do you guys think? Be sure to drop us a comment down below, and tune in to Disney+ this Friday for an all-new episode of Marvel's WandaVision.

@Kumkani - I don't like it. The body is okay at best. But his face looks too "clownish"

@Carlo79 - well, he did play the same Pietro that died. He had the same memories as Wanda did. All that changed was the face (it might really be down to Johnson not wanting to return).
They played it as if he was the MCU Quicksilver version, just with a different face.

Big fan of Evan Peter's being Mephisto idea.
Never was on the Mephisto villain train but the idea of Mephisto being the zany uncle encouraging the kids to use their powers, and appearing our of nowhere... makes me think something is amiss.

Not a fan of it randomly being xmen quiksilver

@Grogu - The body reminds me of this guy:

I remember being so creeped out by Lord Zedd as a kid.

Kinda reminds me of the new Pennywise with the hair

@Kman - Yeah. The body doesn't look bad because I realize they wouldn't just make him a nekkid guy with a loin cloth, so the demonic skin is fine.

But the face is too much like a clown face.

Looks like the Zack Snyder version of the bad guy from The Incredibles.

@IcePyke -
That image is one of two, the other has a very smooth face with longer ears. Though yes, some believe that to be concept art of Mephisto.

As I said in a previous thread, the lack of a credit to John Byrne has me seriously doubting Mephisto is behind things. His storyline is the only link between the character and Wanda.

I'd love for Mephisto to appear but I'm starting to believe that it'll come down to Heywood being the bad guy who helped Wanda achieve her full potential wich she now can't control and him trying to conceal that he is responsible for all this (hence not helping Vision out of the barrier).

Overall it looks to me like there won't be any particular villain here, only grey characters.

@Blergh - Honestly i actually hope its the High Evolutionary instead, but that's just me. He makes way more sense than Mephisto, especially since they're downplaying the more mystical side of it
