WANDAVISION Concept Art Reveals Alternate Takes On The Scarlet Witch's First MCU Costume

Newly revealed WandaVision concept art shows a number of alternate designs for the Scarlet Witch's costume, some of which lean into the comic books and others that are vastly different. Check them out!

Much to the delight of fans, WandaVision saw Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff finally become the Scarlet Witch. If what we've seen from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is any indication, that transformation could have devastating consequences for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Avenger may be set to become this shared world's newest, greatest villain.

Marvel Studios nailed the Scarlet Witch's costume, and concept art from Marvel's WandaVision: The Art of the Series has now been revealed that shows off a number of alternate takes.

As you can see in the Tweet below, some lean heavier into an aesthetic that's more in line with what we've come to expect from The Avengers, while others are a little more witch-like. A handful are very similar to what ended up on screen, but with a few tweaks and changes that have good and bad points.

It's always fun to see what might have been, but we can't complain about the Scarlet Witch costume we got in WandaVision (the version we've seen in the Doctor Strange sequel also looks great). Assuming she has a future in the MCU, we're sure Wanda's appearance will continue to evolve.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released in theaters on May 6.

One of the few times I can say I preferred what we got in the show.

The one we got was pretty good imo but I wish they had gone with more of a cloth-y look for the material like Dr Strange rather than the usual superhero material we ended up getting

They went with the best choice. Top right of the second group, with the headdress, could have been great too. But what we got is my second favorite MCU suit. Only just topped by Spidey’s new suit.

Yknow the gals all get together and talk about Thor’s arms and Spiderman’s ass. So I’m just gonna be honest, the ones with the boobs were the right choice. Elizabeth Olsen is FINE, put her back in that 60s style suit from WandaVision. Nothin with a superhero bein sexy. That said she looks good in anything.
