WandaVision's final episode left us with a few unanswered questions, and there's no denying that some of the show's teases weren't paid off as well as they probably should have been.
Among them was Señor Scratchy; fans were convinced that there was something more to the rabbit than meets the eye, and it turns out they were right! "We did have a whole sequence where Darcy, Monica, [and] Ralph all meet up with the kids, and they're in Agatha's house, and they think maybe they should steal the Darkhold," director Matt Shakman explains below. "They go down there to get the book, and they're reaching for the book, and the rabbit hops up in front of the book."
"They reach over to pat him, and he hisses, and this whole American Werewolf in London transformation happens, and there's this big demon which is [Agatha's] familiar," he continued. "Goonies set pieces ensue as they try to escape from the rabbit."
That would have been incredible, and a great way to explain what the deal with the rabbit was. This would also explain why Ralph and Darcy just vanished from WandaVision's finale, though it's easy to see how this needless side mission could have distracted from everything else that was happening.
Shakman did, however, confirm that the sequence was shot, but the VFX weren't finished (so, it wasn't scrapped due to COVID). Here's hoping this means we can see it as a deleted scene at some point!
