WANDAVISION Director Details DELETED Señor Scratchy Scene Which Would Have Featured A Demonic Reveal

This is going to hurt to read, folks. WandaVision director Matt Shakman has revealed that one scene which ended up on the cutting room floor would have seen Señor Scratchy undergo a demonic transformation!

WandaVision's final episode left us with a few unanswered questions, and there's no denying that some of the show's teases weren't paid off as well as they probably should have been.

Among them was Señor Scratchy; fans were convinced that there was something more to the rabbit than meets the eye, and it turns out they were right! "We did have a whole sequence where Darcy, Monica, [and] Ralph all meet up with the kids, and they're in Agatha's house, and they think maybe they should steal the Darkhold," director Matt Shakman explains below. "They go down there to get the book, and they're reaching for the book, and the rabbit hops up in front of the book."

"They reach over to pat him, and he hisses, and this whole American Werewolf in London transformation happens, and there's this big demon which is [Agatha's] familiar," he continued. "Goonies set pieces ensue as they try to escape from the rabbit."

That would have been incredible, and a great way to explain what the deal with the rabbit was. This would also explain why Ralph and Darcy just vanished from WandaVision's finale, though it's easy to see how this needless side mission could have distracted from everything else that was happening.

Shakman did, however, confirm that the sequence was shot, but the VFX weren't finished (so, it wasn't scrapped due to COVID). Here's hoping this means we can see it as a deleted scene at some point!

It sounds like a very cool scene but it might have disrupted the last episode's storyline.
Maybe the rabbit monster could have guarded the kids instead while Agatha took Wanda on the tour of her past.

...interesting they say 'werewolf' because Ralph's name originates from the word for 'wolf'... who in the MCU is a famous wolf that would be Agatha's husband?

Off topic:

Every marvel characters idea of living a "normal/quiet life" is a cabin in the woods/mountains lol.

Banner at the end of Incredible Hulk
Hawkeye Age of Ultron
Thanos after the snap
Tony in endgame
Wanda at the end of Wandavision

That's sound a lot better than having them stand around for the most part. Sucks that this didn't happen. Screw you covid!

Knowing know that Covid affected the shooting schedule, you can totally see where they cut corners to work around the restrictions. Having a lot of the characters in separate shots even though they're talking next to each other, sending the boys to "their room", Darcy's seemingly reused truck footage, and limiting Ralph's one scene in the finale to one room and with just Monica, etc.

@JoeInTheBox - Oh before anyone says "Covid didn't restrict the scene in the article", I'm actually referring to a cooking show Elizabeth Olsen shot over Zoom and in the UK while she's shooting Doctor Strange 2. She confirmed that the WV-production took a hiatus due to Covid and when they resumed to finish it, she immediately flew to the UK where she is now to start on Doctor Strange 2.

@ShellyMando - Arms look normal -- probably (hopefully) still consumes dairy. I love the perm she got. Sorry, i've always liked big, wavy hair on women.
