This week's WandaVision goes full-blown Malcolm in the Middle, with Billy and Tommy breaking the fourth wall just like Frankie Muniz did once upon a time. Their uncle, Pietro, is slobbing out on the couch, while Wanda and Vision show off their costumes. The latter appears to be just playing along at this point, and doesn't do what he was supposed to by announcing that he'll be helping out the Neighbourhood Watch rather than going trick-or-treating with the family. Wanda, meanwhile, has been acting strangely since Pietro showed up, and seems unsure of her brother. Before she can give it too much thought, Pietro dons a comic accurate costume of his own, something which should make Quicksilver fans very happy!

In the real world, Jimmy Woo, Monica Rambeau, and Dr. Darcy Lewis are arguing with Director Hayward. He points out that taking Wanda out is the only way for this "nightmare" to end. Interesting choice of words, eh? He takes some vile shots at Monica, referencing her relationship with Captain Marvel and the fact she wasn't there when her mother died. After the trio is thrown off the base, Jimmy shows off some badass fighting skills when he and Monica escape from the S.W.O.R.D. soldiers alongside Darcy.

Back in Westview, Wanda tests Pietro by asking questions about their childhood. He acknowledges that he looks different now, but doesn't know why (he does, however, point out that he can understand why she wouldn't want to be reminded of the past after creating "Shangri-La"). Wanda approaches Herb, and he reveals that Vision isn't on duty with Neighbourhood Watch. Oddly, he asks Wanda if there's anything she wants changed, while Vision explores the outskirts of town. He's beginning to notice that all is not right, but we're then interrupted with a seriously weird commercial. A kid is stuck on a desert island when a shark offers him a yogurt called "Yo-Magic" which he's been snacking on. The boy struggles to open the packaging, and eventually dies. The tagline describes "Yo-Magic" as the "snack for survivors."

Pietro describes his role in this sitcom, and when Wanda asks what happened to his accent, he retorts with, "What happened to yours?" The fallen hero claims that details are "fuzzy," and all he remembers is getting shot before hearing Wanda calling him. Tommy suddenly develops superspeed, and back in the real world, Darcy discovers that going in and out of the Hex has completely changed Monica's DNA...that sounds a bit like a superhero origin story! Jimmy and Monica head off together in the hopes of returning to the town, but Darcy wants to continue investigating Hayward as he's been tracking Vision's Vibranium signal. On the outskirts of town, Vision learns no one is really moving and appear to be frozen in place. He transforms back to his normal self, and comes across Agnes. Restoring her original personality, she points out that he's an Avenger (that word means nothing to him), and that he's dead, before cackling like a loon.

Wanda and Pietro talk more about the world she's created, and he questions where the kids have been up until this point. He ponders that she's just had them all asleep in their beds to avoid traumatising them, and points out what a good job Wanda has done of keeping couples together, giving people better jobs, and essentially keeping their personalities in tact for the most part. She again says she has no idea how Westview became this way or how she created this reality, and only remembers being completely alone and empty with endless nothingness. She turns to look at Pietro, and he's a zombie-like dead body, riddled with bullet holes. Wanda snaps out of it pretty quickly, while Vision pushes his way out of the Hex. Hayward does nothing to help, and seems intrigued by how much the android wants out. Being torn apart, Vision pleads for them to help those in the town, while Darcy screams for them to do something for the hero (getting handcuffed to a S.W.O.R.D. vehicle in the process). Billy develops powers and can that tell his father, now prone on the ground, is in trouble.

Wanda sends Pietro flying when he makes a crack about her dead husband not dying twice, and uses her powers to expand the Hex. Darcy is now sucked in, while S.W.O.R.D. is turned into a circus. Hayward manages to escape, and Vision, who was literally disintegrating into nothing (he clearly can't survive outside Westview) is restored. Jimmy and Monica also escape, and the episode ends with Wanda's eyes glowing red after creating an even bigger world for her and her family to live in.

The Malcolm in the Middle homage was scarily accurate. Makes me wonder if Bryan Cranston could play a villain? Darcy and Jimmy Woo I find really annoying in the show (even though I loved Woo in Ant Man). But Elizabeth Olsen was in tights this week so I am totally okay with being annoyed.

@connorblaze - Darcy isn’t my favourite character but she doesn’t bother me at all. Woo is great, and he hasn’t done anything to annoy me in WandaVision.

@connorblaze - agree with darcy. Woo is my favorite character in this show so far. His softball joke to the director was the best one liner in the series so far

@JohnCastillo - why do people hate Darcy? Is it because she has delicious boobies and these pansies can't just admit that they are nice.

@Poopmaster89 - I don’t get the hate, it’s fine if she isn’t your favourite character, she’s serviceable, but to say she’s awful is a little far fetched. And man I feel sorry for anyone who thinks Woo is annoying 😂 Darcy was awful in Thor: The Dark World.. but not in WandaVision..

I’m convinced that Pietro a spy sent in by someone.

He’s asking far too many questions about how Wanda created Westview and what she’s up to. It’s like he’s speaking for the audience, but in a manner that makes it clear he’s doing it for a bigger purpose than just a story telling device.
