WHAT IF? Funko Pop Reveals King Killmonger And A Surprising Ultron Connection - Possible SPOILERS

Another Funko Pop figure for What If? has been revealed early, this time depicting "King Killmonger" holding the severed head of an iconic MCU villain first introduced in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron!

The trailers and promo art for What If? have confirmed that Michael B. Jordan will reprise the role of Killmonger in the show, but a new Funko Pop sheds more light on plans for the Black Panther villain.

Decked out in a Black Panther costume that looks very similar to the one he donned in the 2018 film's final act, he's holding a spear...and the head of Ultron! We don't know if this is the Ultron or a member of his robot army, but something clearly happens that leads to Killmonger getting involved with the villain's attack on Earth (we're betting Vibranium has something to do with it).

We know that a young T'Challa is taken by Yondu and the Ravagers in What If?, so if all these stories take place on the same world, perhaps Killmonger becomes King much sooner?

It depends how the series handles these alternate realities, and something tells us the stage is going to be set when Loki wraps up its first season next Wednesday.

The show's synopsis was revealed during last year's Disney Investor Day, and states: "'What If…?' flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways."

"Coming to Disney+ in summer 2021, Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU," it adds, "featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. The series is directed by Bryan Andrews; Ashley Bradley is head writer."

Erik becomes the rightful heir when T'Challa is kidnapped as a child.

Erik obviously isn't with staying in the shadows. When Ultron is born and attempts to decimate the Earth, Killmonger and Wakanda step in and stop him.

When is the trailer for this series going to drop? We’re almost done with Loki. Better add the Hawkeye trailer too

@PantherKing - I think they are purposely waiting for Loki to end first. Might be a spoiler in regards to the Loki finale in the trailer. Just a hunch.

Is this the timeline where Killmonger and Tony Stark become buddies, because then it makes sense for Killmonger to comes to the Avengers' aid

Killmonger is too overrated. He overacted and he ended up being two dimensional. If what you liked about him was his ideas, you already had the same with Nakia (who shared them without being a homicidal maniac). I hated how after Black Panther, Michael B Jordan's overacting overshadowed Chadwick´s subsued and soulful performance.

@AndrewHolland - Look at all this overacting. The next William Shatner right here.

@FinnishDude - Refresh your memory. Look up the hey auntie scene or the one in which he talks to the historian. There's no way one could compare that to the beautiful scene that T'challa had with his father.
