Loki introduced us to the concept of Variants and featured a multitude of alternate reality Gods of Mischief like Alligator Loki, Kid Loki, and even President Loki. In today's episode of What If...?, we got to meet another, which offered a fascinating glimpse into what could have been for the trickster.
After being returned to his parents as a baby, little Jotunn Loki actually grew up to be a pretty massive Frost Giant! He also ended up being close friends with the God of Thunder, and it seems this Loki was a lot happier being brought up on Jotunheim instead of Asgard.
That's an intriguing twist, and proof, perhaps, that Odin was wrong to take Loki from his home.
However, that had to happen for the God of Mischief to become the hero we're pretty sure will lead the charge in a battle against Kang the Conqueror. As for the rest of the episode, the highlight was Thor squaring off with Captain Marvel; we're still not sure who is the more powerful, but it did look like Carol Danvers might have the slight advantage in this battle
As for this Loki, it's possible he's the #L6792 Variant we caught a glimpse of in the God of Mischief's solo series, though it's hard to say for sure. Either way, you can check him out in all his glory below:
