NBC Confirms Picking Up The Cape Plus Brand New Pics!

NBC has announced that they will be adding The Cape to their Fall 2010 schedule. The TV show is a superhero drama series that stars David Lyons from "ER" fame as Vince Faraday. Its about a good honest cop thats on a corrupt police force, that finds himself framed for series of murders. He's forced into hiding, leaving his whole life which includes his wife, Dana (Jennifer Ferrin) and son, Trip (Ryan Wynott). Wanting to reunite with his whole family he becomes The Cape which is his son’s favorite comic book superhero character.










Also stars: James Frain = billionaire Peter Fleming (main villain Chess)

Keith David = Max Malini (ringleader of a circus gang)

Summer Glau = Orwell (a investigative blogger who wages war on crime)

Dorian Missick = Marty Voyt (former police detective and friend to Faraday)

The actual picture with VINCE with the cape on may be a early part of the costume and may not be the final product of what we see every week!

I loved Keith David as the voice of Goliath and Spawn.Is he going to be a regular?He seems to be a pretty busy actor to be on a TV show.On his IMDB page, he's in 14 movies over the next year!If he is a regular, it'll be great to have him on TV every week.

No date is set yet.

And the script is supposed to be taken "VERY SERIOUSLY" so its not going to be CAMPY, so don't worry about second to last picture guys, could be an early attempt at the costume in the series!!

And TAZ @ What I've read DAVID KEITH is a big part of the show, so its seems he will be a regular?

Mmmm. Not sure about this. The plot about dressing as his kids favorite super hero immediately puts it into kiddie territory for me. But Summer Glau is awesome. Who knows.

DDD: Check out the new pictures of Conan a little ways down in the news section. They are a huge improvement over anything else I have seen on the movie. See if they help put your mind at ease.

I'm not feeling it. Bad costume (looks like a rip off of Assassins Creed only blue), a used storyline idea and the third picture looks like crappy graphics. I'll give it one look to be fair.

yea make fun of his costume but luv the x-men movies and there bondage outfits :)...f**kin whiners...sum of u cant find the good in anything...

Hopefully everything works out.This could go horribly wrong. I'm not that impressed by the costume, but, then again, I wasn't that impressed with the press photo's for Avatar, but I love the movie.

@LEEE777 I haven't heard any talk about the RUNAWAYS movie in like a year but I think the comics are set up perfectly to make a series out of it personally. Last I heard Heroes is getting a half a season to finish.

I fear that this will be another show with Summer Glau in it that ends up being cancelled early on... :( But until I actually see it I'm gonna try stay positive.

Looks kind of campy and...maybe just too low budget or something. I can't place it, but I feel another 'Legend of the Seeker' or something like that, good intentions, horrible show. Hope I'm wrong, though
