CURSED: First Look At Katherine Langford As Nimue In Netflix's Adaptation Of Frank Miller's Graphic Novel

It's a shame that we never got to see Katherine Langford as an older version of Morgan Stark in Avengers: Endgame (though her scenes may well end up on the Blu-ray), but the young 13 Reasons Why actress has lined up another juicy role as the lead in Netflix's Cursed, and we have a first look at her character, Nimue, right here.

The series is based on the upcoming graphic novel from Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller, and will focus on a young girl with a mysterious power who is destined to become the tragic Lady of the Lake from Arthurian legend.

Check out the image below along with a synopsis, and let us know what you think. Cursed is set to premiere next year.

Cursed is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.

Also, on the Arthurian topic...King Arthur with Clive Owen is a severely underrated film. Even if they strayed away from source of the legend.

I was surprised when I saw this pic and heard of the story belonged to Frank Miller. I thought as well that the only Nimue that existed was the Blood Queen from Hellboy. 😅

Seems interesting. 🧐

I am glad non-Marvel and DC comics are getting a chance to be adapted.
