Frank Castle may be on borrowed time after the cancellations of Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Daredevil, but he will return to visit bloody vengeance upon the criminal underworld for one more season on Netflix.

Marvel has now officially announced that The Punisher season 2 will stream next month for 13 all-new episodes, although they don't confirm the specific date. Jon Bernthal will reprise the role of Castle, and he'll be joined by fellow season 1 returnees Ben Barnes (Billy Russo), Amber Rose Revah (Dinah Madani), and Jason R. Moore (Curtis Hoyle).

New cast additions include Josh Stewart as John Pilgrim, Floriana Lima as Krista Dumont, and Giorgia Whigham as Amy Bendix.

The video below gives us a first glimpse of Castle as he tools up and prepares to drive into action.

Literally a month away? Yep they're cancelling this. Good riddance to be honest, I knew they would pussy out on being hard-core R and doing a narration.

Well season 1 was a giant waste of time so i hope they learned something. I probably won't watch. If i want to see definitive Punisher i'll go watch DDs2.

End of an era for me once this and Jessic Jones go. Might seriously cancel Netflix when all is said and done

@Ha1frican - I'm totally in agreement with you.

@Ha1frican - Eh, they still have a lot of great original stuff on there. Last Kingdom is enough to keep me coming back all on its own.

@MrDandy - tbh nothing Netflix exclusive has grabbed me in a long time that wasn’t Marvel and there’s to many things to watch and play outside of Netflix, I’ll probably just replace it with Hulu and Disney’s service bc I’m going to want to have access to all the Marvel shows anyway so the two will cover all of that plus The Mandalorian and some movies

@Ha1frican - Ugh. You want to talk about lack of content, I'd put Hulu on the top of that list. Compared to Netflix, Prime, and HBO, which make up their main streaming competitors, their original content is a pretty dry well.

@MrDandy - Hulu will have Runaways, Cloak and Dagger, and Agents of Shield plus it has movies as well, it’s all I need aside from the Disney service to have all of the Marvel shows so for me it’s isn’t light on content at all. Tbh I don’t really care about exclusive content pretty much just MCU shows. The only things on Netflix I care about are Black Mirro, Sabrina and Stranger things and I’ll pop it back on for a free trial or just find a stream for those when they come out it’s not worth keeping for a whole year for just a few shows. Marvel was my tipping point between having content all year because that plus the few originals I cared enough have me something every 1-2 months to watch but now it’ll be one every 3 months or so and that’s just a waste to me

@MrDandy - HBO Now I pop on for Westworld and GoT and unsub once they are over bc it’s more expensive than other services

@Ha1frican - Ah! That does make sense. And yeah, I do the same with HBO. I get it around the time Westword or GoT is out and watch those and binge watch anything else I want on the service before the season is over and I cancel. Good strategy.

@Ha1frican - Netflix UK is a steaming pile of garbage. I kept mine for ages even though I never watched anything. Marvel shows getting cancelled was the final straw in making me cancel my subscription.
