STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Promos Bring The Fireworks Ahead Of Series' 4th Of July Return

Who's ready for some fireworks? Stranger Things is set to return for its third season next month and Netflix has released two new promos for the highly anticipated sci-fi show. Both highlight Mayor Kline's 4th of July Spectacular, which figures to be an important event this season.

While Mayor Kline's intentions are unknown at this point, there's something certainly ominous about the character and the role he'll play in Season 3. Actor Cary Elwes wouldn't spoil any details about his character - like if he's evil - but he did recently describe Mayor Kline as "full of himself" and "not always honest," as well as "a bit smarmy." Perhaps it's his arrogance, or maybe ignorance, towards the dangers lurking below Hawkins that'll ultimately lead to what looks like impending devastation.

In any case, the first promo, which serves as a commercial for the 4th of July Spectacular, teases a summer that's "totally fun and not scary at all." It also briefly highlights the new Starcourt Mall, another project that Mayor Kline is hugely responsible for.

The second clip is actually more of a teaser and features are humorous back-and-forth between Dustin and Erica. Of course, it also devolves into chaos.

Stranger Things Season 3 is set to premiere on Netflix on July 4.

I bet I can binge watch the first 2 Seasons this weekend if I organize myself well and be ready for S3 on Thursday after waking up from seeing at midnight Far From Home.

Win-win!

@NinnesMBC - not really a win-win, after season 1 you will realize this should have been a 1 and done type show.
