As part of Netflix's "Geeked "Week" (which hasn't been quite as revealing as we'd hoped), the streaming service has shared the first - quite brief - teaser for the second season of The Witcher.
The spotlight is primarily put on Ciri as she trains to become a Witcher, and it certainly helps set the stage for what promises to be an exciting season. We should have already seen these episodes by now, of course, but the COVID-19 pandemic halted production and shooting only recently wrapped.
A premiere date hasn't been revealed, but with the announcement of an event called "WitcherCon" on July 9, we're anticipating some big news about the world of The Witcher to arrive then.
Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming second season, as will Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), and Joey Batey (Jaskier).
New additions include Yasen Atour as the witcher Coen, Agnes Bjorn as the bruxa Vereena, Paul Bullion as the witcher Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen as the witcher Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, and Mecia Simson as Francesca. There are also some big rumours doing the rounds about the show's new villain, but we won't spoil that here.
