The Mandalorian introduced us to a live-action Ahsoka Tano played by Rosario Dawson, and the news that her story would continue in a spinoff series was welcomed by fans. Since then, we've heard relatively little about Ahsoka aside from the odd rumour here and there relating to returning characters.
It's probably a given that the series will follow Ahsoka as she continues her search for Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger, making it a sequel of sorts to the popular Star Wars Rebels animated series.
Now, The Bespin Bulletin is reporting that "Ahsoka will film up until the Fall of 2022 and is currently aiming to release around the Spring of 2023 exclusively on Disney+." This follows reports that cameras will begin rolling early next year, and with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor already set for 2022 (along with The Mandalorian season 3), it's not exactly a surprise that Ahsoka won't arrive for a while.
Lucasfilm appears to be prioritising telling stories set in this Galaxy Far, Far Away on the small screen for now, especially since Rogue Squadron has been delayed after Patty Jenkins' rumoured departure over "creative differences." We don't know how far along Kevin Feige and Taika Waititi's separate Star Wars movies are, though the scripts are currently being worked on.
As always, keep checking back here for updates. Oh, and while you're here, check out our interview with Daisy Ridley about the possibility of suiting up as Spider-Woman in the player below:
