In news that's bound to get fans of a certain Galaxy Far, Far Away excited, it's been confirmed today that Star Wars: The Bad Batch will return for a second season in 2022.
"Fans have enthusiastically embraced the action and drama of 'Star Wars: The Bad Batch,' and we are excited to see the Star Wars animated universe continue to expand on Disney+," Michael Paull, President of Disney+ and ESPN+, says. "As the dedicated streaming home for the Star Wars franchise, we can’t wait for the second season of this fan-favorite animated series."
Executive producer Dave Filoni has also shared his thoughts on the news that The Clone Wars spinoff is getting a second season, saying: "The entire Lucasfilm Animation team and I would like to thank Disney+ and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of the Bad Batch."
The first part of the two-part season one finale arrives on Disney+ at midnight tonight, and is bound to leave us with plenty to talk about as we head into this planned second batch of episodes.
