Yesterday, the review embargo for Andor finally lifted (many critics first watched the show back in July), giving us our best idea yet about what to expect from the latest Star Wars TV series to head to Disney+. You can read our roundup by clicking here, but with just over 200 verdicts counted, we now have a Rotten Tomatoes score (via SFFGazette.com) for the show.

It currently sits at 87% based on 218 reviews. 191 of those were deemed "Fresh," with the other 27 "Rotten." This is a great start for the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel and it's fair to call the show a critical hit.

Ultimately, it will be down to viewers to decide whether this is a series they want to watch. Regardless of those all-important streaming numbers, however, Lucasfilm is already moving forward with a second season of Andor that begins shooting this November. Seeing a score like this, though, is bound to increase interest in Cassian Andor's backstory.

To coincide with the premiere, Lucasfilm also recently released an exciting new TV spot and a handy recap. Both tie Andor into events from the Star Wars movies, reminding fans that this tale is set during a crucial time in this Galaxy Far, Far Away's history. You'll also want to click here for our breakdown of the biggest moments in the first three chapters.

The first three episodes of Andor are now streaming on Disney+.

It feels like a movie. Dan Murrell had the perfect description of it: when the credits roll it feels like it’s coming during segments of a film.

I’m really enjoying. Like an espionage drama but happens to have Star Wars characters.

Heard it was a really good premiere. I can’t wait to see it tonight! Big Star Wars fan and, although being a fan can be frustrating often, it’s rewarding when they give us some real good material.

It's a bit boring and awkward. Kust watched 3rd episode where thungs started getting exciting, I guess...
It just doesn't compell me so far. Not bad, just
...not great, I guess.
Not as awkward as Kenobi, though...but that felt a bit more driven, all the same.

Really enjoyed the first 3 episodes so far. The world feels so real and you can just feel the tension and struggle of the characters living in it. The tone of the show is great, and I really feel like the tone would be perfect for Secret Invasion. Or at least I hope it's similar in tone.

It was okay… honestly felt like the script was an 80’s scifi flick that was changed to fit Star Wars…

Was really weird to have 3 eps and the only real connection to the larger Star Wars world was the inclusion of droids around…

Compared to every other Movie and Tv show, when the empire has control of something… there are storm troopers patrolling streets… to suddenly show random corporations controlling entire planets felt very out of place…

I dunno maybe it was just me, and I hope after these 3 eps it starts feeling more like we’re in the Star Wars universe and not just a cool scifi world…

I was excited, sat down, got a drink and snacks and got all comfortable and then I got 25 minutes into episode 1 and I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. There was nothing "SW" about this show, if you took OG characters and put them in this they would not fit with this new world at all, it's a generic Blade Runner rip-off and not the original but the newer one.

There wasn't one interesting character or scene and while I like Rogue One I barely care about Andor, they have yet to give a reason to care in show and movie, and they are already showing his backstory to his backstory before his prequel movie. Like why would anyone care about Andor as a kid just starring at random stuff, the writers never give us a reason besides he was in a SW movie so I guess they just assume we do or should?

He's a rebel who had bad stuff happen to him in the past which is why he gave his life for the rebellion, it's not the deep, unique, or interesting at all that we need to have background details about this in a slow-burn show. I'm not gonna wait around for "the good parts are coming in the future so wait and consume product now type show".

What a complete let-down and I sure would have liked some actual SW in a SW show.
