We were first introduced to Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and fans immediately started coming up with theories about who the mastermind behind the First Order could really be. Emperor Palpatine or his one-time Master, Darth Plagueis, were among the most popular suggestions at the time, though things took an unexpected turn in The Last Jedi.

In that divisive movie, Snoke was killed by Kylo Ren, wrapping up his story with no answers as to who he was. The Rise of Skywalker later went into damage control mode, of course, explaining (to some extent) that the villain was a failed Palpatine clone who the Emperor took control of through the Force.

Andy Serkis played Snoke, but has since returned to the Star Wars Universe to play Andor's Kino Loy.

Talking to Jake's Takes (via SFFGazette.com), the actor was asked whether he'd like to discuss the Supreme Leader with George Lucas and strongly hinted that he hopes to tell more stories with the villain.

"First of all, I would love him to think about furthering Snoke, actually," the actor said. "I think I'd say to him, 'Look, I don't think we've seen enough Snoke.' I think people would love to see more Snoke. And really, really infill the whole lore behind Snoke because I think there's so much fertile ground that has yet to be covered."

That fertile ground will more than likely be explored in The Mandalorian. In the Disney+ series, we've seen that Moff Gideon appears to have a vested interest in cloning, while there have also been hints that his Imperials are behind Snoke's creation. If so, there's a solid chance the show will tell the villain's origin story and how he came to be in control of The First Order.

Only time will tell on that front, but for now, Serkis continues to impress in Andor. We can't say too much, but rest assured you don't want to miss what comes next for Kino in Wednesday's episode!

As for The Mandalorian, the show's third season arrives on Disney+ next February.

Everyone: lWhere did Snoke come from?”
JJ Abrams: “I dunno. I just dump puzzle
pieces on the floor. You guys figure it out.”

Four years later…

JJ Abrams: “Oh damn. You’re gonna make me solve my own mysteries? Crap.”

The most interesting thing they did with Snoke was kill him.

Tbh, it was a weak/boring move to kick off the sequel trilogy with "the emperor was defeated... anyway here's a new emperor again"

One of the most annoying things about TFA is they just reset the galaxy to how it was in the originals - resistance/rebels, empire/first order... we watched that story already! Give us something new!!!

I don’t get the whole where did smoke come from thing

The emperor is never explained in the ot he just shows up as vader’s boss

Also good that he was killed it put spotlight on Kylo as the true villain which btw kinda gives us 3 variations of the skywalker

OT: evil skywalker that’s made good again by a good skywalker
PT: good skywalker that falls to evil
ST: evil skywalker that isn’t redeemed
